The siege titan and the knights are still waiting to be stripped. Actually I might go and do that now...  :D

I also need to go and get some more paint (and storage containers). I've run out of black spray undercoat, and normal black and white...

Wow no update for almost a year, a sign of how miserably busy real life got... you know it's bad when no epic happens!

Back into action though! Today I gave my new Forge World buildings  (new meaning bought almost a year ago!) a lick of paint to get them battle ready. Can add more detail later if I feel the urge, but they will do for now!  :)

Looking good Markconz, the weird thing is I was looking at these last night at Forgeworld and wondering if they are worth the money. I would say yes, very much so from what I see here.  :cool:

Yes they are very nice. I just wished they made more of them!

And really cool thread Markconz. I'm glad you're working on it again. The white and Biel-Tan Titans are sweet!

Ta guys  :) Ok so the next army is Black Legion. Starting with something like the following, over 10,000 points to give some variety:

Waiting to be assembled:
4 Banelords (1 each faction)
1 Undivided Reaver
6+ Retinues (1+ each faction)
2 Chosen Retinues
2 Forlorn Hopes
2x8 Landraiders
40 Lesser Daemons (10 each faction)
10 Lesser Daemons (undivided)
8 Daemon Princes (2 each faction, the old Chaos Familiars)
Lots of Havoc, Obliterators (old robots) and Cult Marine units.
Dreadclaws and Cruisers

Planning to buy:
4x Greater Daemons (1 Warmaster Greater Daemon of each faction)
2x3 Decimators (Exodus Wars Enforcers)


Plan is to spray black, quick drybrush and then pick out details with various metals and a few faction specific colours. Aiming for speed because the mass effect is what's important for this, and I haven't got loads of time. Daemons will be more colourful, bright colours with ink washes. Also will be using circular bases for most of the infantry probably.

Pile of stuff waiting for assembly...

Geez Markconz, my painting hand is cramping just looking at all the painting you have ahead of you. Nice collection project you have going.

Question: In EA can Banelords really be any Chaos faction? Aren't they Khorne only?..

Yes Banelords are Khorne last time I checked, what I should have said is they will be Chaos Warlords which will 'count as' Banelords in the Black Legion list.

Cheers, they are just sprayed black, then 3 shades of progressively lighter grey (just standard acrylic bulk paint), and then the windows picked out with black.
