An interesting tip I discovered is to paint over the decals with a tiny bit of thined down pva glue. this seals the decals and also removes the glossy finish you'd suaully get.

Thanks useful tip.

I like your take on the Alaitoc color scheme.

Well with my PC broken down and the replacement laptop I borrowed also dead (what are the odds?) I've had plenty of time to get some Epic work done in the past week.

For my Dark Angles force I've converted some more heavy Weapons: Tactical Marines with Melta Guns and Devastators with Plasma Cannons (I'm quite pleased with these although they're not exactly Tuffskull or Drassannar standard)
Also I've begun on some tactical marines with variable poses. These has proven somewhat difficult to get right so it is mainly torso twists and slight repositioning of the bolters. Some of them have been converted to carry the bolter in one hand whil?e they're pointing out targets with the left arm. I'll post some pics as soon as I'm back online. :D

I've also gotten a bit of painting done. My Phantom Titans are well underway. The first one is completely finished and the two others still need some work. I was originally doing all three simultaniously but can obnly paint that many jewels at a time before going nuts so I've decised to finish the rest one at a time.

I've also sanded and painted the bases of some Eldar units which were painted a couple of years back. Can't say that the paint job on the models themselves are particularly good but oh well.

Finally the conversion work on "Project X" is complele and the piece has been given a spray undercoat of white and await some paint.... :blues: :blues: :blues:

Some error with Windows 98. I can't even format it as the floppy drive is dead and I don't have drivers for the various components either.
On my regular PC the Mainboard is fried. I sent it in for repair but it turns out they've got a queue of up to 6 weeks!  Ridiculous when the board itself isn't worth more than ?50 so I've decided to buy a new one and then sell the old one when it returns from the repair shop. I'm going to loose some money this way but I'd rather do than than be PC-less for another month!

Anyway: The Eldar titans have been put on hold for a while. Instead I've been working on a bit of terrain: some wood sections and a river crossing. Seems like I've got quite a few pics to post once I get the PC back up and running. :;):

Boy, Warmaster, it seems like if it weren't for bad luck, you wouldn't have any luck at all. :( Sorry to hear about all of your PC woes. I don't blame you for not wanting to be without a PC for another month. I could get by without my PC at home for month, but only because there's no problem with me going online at work.

Hi!

Sounds like upgrade time. Once I get into problems like that I immediately scrap my rig and scratch build another one out of more advanced components.

It resolves most issues until the next great big "turnover".... :;):

As promised here's a few piccies:
First the terrain piece: Pretty simple to do but unfortunately my airbrush seems to have broken down (see a pattern here?) so I had to paint the river by hand. Not the best result but it'll have to do.

And the first Eldar Phantom:

I also touched up the highlights on my old Warlock Titan to make itlook more in line with the rest of the new titans.

And here's the old aspect warriors. These were painted a couple of years ago but never quite finished. I think I could do a better job today but these will have to do untill I find the time to paint the rest of those models.
