Sweet! Ragnaroks FTW! Those are going to turn out great.

I love the Ragnarok chasis, I'm currently trying to get the 6 predators I'm doing greenstuffed at the moment, and they will be on the Ragnarok chasis too, they are just so much more steampunk looking which I think fits Nurgle. I'm really tempted to make up some trucks with big fat Virus missiles on them, I can use them as Deathstrikes when I run as guard, and if I do make Nurgle Trench list I will probably be putting in a one shot Viral Missile in it.

Finished the work on my Spawn, Though they are very different models I wanted to keep the colour scheme similar though not identical, there is much more pink on them than in the rest of the army. I felt this would tie them together as the same unit type without being too uniform.

More exceptional work :o the array of components used is rather staggering, you must have a massive bitz selection :D

Why is it that only Nurgle covnersions seem to provoke those jaw dropping reactions?

Please! The Great Deceiver has always been my favorite of the Chaos Gods. Although I recently learned of Malal, who also tickles my fancy...

It's going to be a little while.. just need to finish 3 or 4 more titans, 2 formations of cultists, 2 formations of mutants, Plague Towers, Spaceships, Hounds, 30 or so land transporters, Defilers, Desecrators, Ausguss minoris ... .etc etc.

I like how you have thrown in a few regular 6mm infantry for scale & you get a good feel for how big the spawn are. You have inspired me to go with a large spawn versus converting stands of something closer to the 40K-sized models. Outstanding stuff! :D

Out of curiosity, what's your palette look like? 5 basic colors+ highlights/washes?

Nurgle has lots of popular appeal for good reasons. You get to mix in Orky & undead flavors with the usual Chaos stuff; it's a trifecta of goodness. The "infection" & "decay" elements also fit nicely when you are describing cultist forces.

Not to say that Slaanesh & Tzeentch can't have equal appeal, but regular "spikey" marines & Khorne (red & gold spikey marines) just come off a little less fantastic, even with a similar level of converting.

I use an awefull lot of colours. I've got 45 pots out that I've been using during this project. for example I have 5 colours I use to lighten colours Skull White, Bleached Bone, Kommando Khaki, Vallejo Green-Grey and Vellejo Yellow-Green. Depending on the colour I'm wanting to achieve, sometimes I will mix different ones in across a surface so the tint is slightly different, Camo highlighted with Kommando Khaki is just slightly different to Camo highlighted with Bleached Bone.. I might also do similar with washes so I might use Green, Brown, Sepia, Chestnut over bits of the same surface. I think I have maybe 20 or so colours I use as bases in different places.

Right got the 'Vindicators' finished. next thing to work on all the predators. At some point I'm going to have to get everything out and take a photo as I'm sure stuff is mounting up and it will be a much bigger army than I think it is.
