I then connected the power flail:

And there you have the first of the Slaughterfiends:

I did the same with the mechanical arm from Eureka Miniatures:

And I cut the NSL Full Thrust Frigate up to form the armatures for this one:

Eureka Miniatures also makes Fantasy 10mm models and I saw a minotaur mini with a flail. After convincing them to cast up 18 copies of the flail alone (yes, I kinda felt guilty), I cut and drilled each of them to give the flails ends as you can see in the pic below:

Image

As the flails are able to be bent any which way, it makes it easy to position the flails in any position really. I was extremely happy with how these turned out. Next I was on to "green-stuffing" the models

Next I started to use the 'skull mould' that Apoc gave me many months ago. I was glad to finally put this to use:

And I decided to make my own green-stuff mould of the Khorne symbol

More pictures to come tomorrow of the additions on the Slaughterfiends

So to continue ...

4 of the Slaughterfiends recieved the Khorne symbol as shown here:
Image

The other two received the Skull Icon as shown here:

Next I will work on the riders holding chains connected to their Slaughterfiends. That one is going to take me some time.

Next project after that are the Chosen formations (a lot of modelling required) and the Bikes (ready to be undercoated)

OK

I have been a little lazy in this one so I am hoping to pick it up again.

The Slaughterfiends are going to get an undercoat and I was looking at my bikes and thought about my basing options. What are people's thoughts on the 2 basing options presented in the pic below?

Image

The one on the left (black base) allows for:
- a streamlined look
- better combat ability on the board

The ones on the right (my original idea):
- provide a bigger base to work on
- allows the character base to have 3 models

I am really leaning to the one on the left at the moment, however I thought I would also gain some opinions

Thanks in advance

Nice Stuff Frogbear. I do like both Biker Options but my preference would be the right ones.

I do not use the strip bases but if,
I would base bike units like the black ones

Tha idea basing 3 biker models to a base is from GW, they intoduced it during the Epic 40k release.
Guess why ;)

Well other than selling more models, I like 3 to a base because it makes the battle feel larger.

Nice, double nice and tripple nice! I like them a lot. The conversions look really good.
