Almost a month. Too long with out an update!

For anyone planning on magnetizing their EW tanks, a note of caution: The vision slits in the Elektra are magnetizable, but DO NOT use sprue cutters to remove the turret peg. It will deform and or destroy the insert. However, a razor saw does work to remove the peg. And it only took two destroyed inserts to conclusively prove this. Remember folks, replicability is a key requirement in any good experiment! Otherwise the Elektra went off without a hitch, in fact the cannon was one of the easiest pieces to magnetize yet.

No new painted stuff, primarily due to lack of motivation, but partly due to poor weather to prime in, and no primed turrets, just hulls. My ADHD also played a part. But the distractions are coming along well...

Primary hull is a box 42mm L x 25mm W x 15mm H

Overall dimensions, not including gun barrels, are 58mm L x 35mm W x 30mm H.

I think I'm done here, but possible some side panels will be added. Not sure the best way to go about it, though. Suggestions are welcome.

maybe glowy strip bits like on the monoliths or buttresses could work?

Butresses were an option, but they would fill the gaps between the panels on the runners at this point.

As for the glowy bits, I'm not sure they would fit into the overall feel. There's not enough room to do them vertically (about 8mm from the runner to the roof IIRC), and horizontally would look... odd, I think. Too much like racing stripes. Hmmm.

Not sure, but I think they would look fine as power conduits feeding the weapons on the side.

Not convinced, but it's not glued on. Was this what you had in mind?

I think if you make the side lines not just straight across, like with some corners or some angles , it would look cool.

Lately I've been trying to scam up neat ideas to manufacture in pewter. One of said ideas was cabling. Dragonforge already makes pewter cables based off of guitar strings (notoriously tough and hard to bend).

Perhaps a good idea for a pewter conversion cable would be something like this, flat on one edge to be glued up again plasticard.

Would such a thing prove useful in these sorts of circumstances?

I like! That's something I could use! Email me about a foot of the stuff. Don't worry, I've got a printer. ;)
