I think I mentioned elsewhere my relationship with the German language.

Basically, it has a restraining order.

Thanks for the translation, makes the mental picture *much* clearer.

The basic rules may be simpler, but the main trouble with English is that it's so maddeningly inconsistent.

It seems perfectly logical to me that the past tense of "Go" should be "Went". Completely consistent...

Welsh has awesomely simple and clever grammatical rules. Just about every sentance starts with a word that doesn't have a literal meaning, it just tells you what tense the sentence is in. So you don't need to learn different tenses for each verb, just one word for each tense.

"I am going to the shops" -> "Present I go to the shops"
"I went to the shops" -> "Past I go to the shops"
"I will go to the shops" -> "Future I go to the shops"

Genius.

Aye the Welsh grammatical system is pretty awesome.

Rubbish for poetry, but very elegant as a method of communication.

Welsh is completely phonetic, they just pronounce some letters weirdly.

"u" sounds like "ee"
"y" sounds like "ur"
"dd" sounds like "th as in THem"
"ch" sounds like "ch as in loCH"
"f" sounds like "v"
"ff" sounds like "f"
"rh" sounds like "hr"
"r" is a rolled "r"
"w" sounds like "oo"
"ll" is a sound unique to the welsh language, so impossible to describe without hearing it really. Kinda put the tongue in the position to say "s" and blow out the side of the tongue rather than over the tip like in "s"

Available in resin, limited quantities, 10 cents each.

Not enough bronze masters to make the desired sprue in metal, but that might be addressed when the Manchurian gets master molded.
