in terms of the undercut and mold degradation: could you not have the sides of the undercut at say 60degress to vertical? Same deal as the past rivet problem, makes the rubber a bit stiffer where it joins the main mold.

Sure, I'll give that a try and post it.

Edit: like this?

That looks really good as well. I have no idea what is most suitable for mould making, but this last addition definitely sets the miniature off as a true masterpiece!  8v)

Is it wrong of me to say that I have a full on robotic chubby just looking at these 3D drawings?.. :sus:

I don't know about the rest of you but I've started saving already. Hey, when are you taking orders Otterman, ol' boy?..

I've been noting certain peoples' attention to this project. Nothing else need be done.

An appeal for help: when I bought my Defiler kit, I got a good deal because the Chaos accessories sprue wasn't included. Turns out that sprue had the missile launcher on it.

Would someone please supply me with rough measurements of how long each tube is, and the diameter? I can make up the rest from the instructions.

Thanks in advance for your time and attention in this matter.

The angled vertion of the claw should produce a longer lasting mold and release the resin casting easier as well. or so sais my  "manufacturing methods" text book anyway. :)

Here's the other front claw with the 'cleavage'.

I never can get enough 'cleavage' on a model.

Prevert (to quote Dr. Strangelove :D )

Seriously: Looks nice. In terms of casting the most important part is the visible front side, so if a cleavage at the back would make the mould more brittle I don't really think it is neccesary. Looks really good though

Opinions regarding this positioning of the legs? I'm closing in on final geometries. To significantly change things at this point would be possible but labor intensive.

The four rear legs and one front claw all come down on the same plane to form a (hopefully) stable pose. The other front claw is in a level pinchy position.

What, no love on this?

Don't be silly my aquatic mammalian friend. Obviously there just aren't many Chaos missile launcher owners out there. Or there all too scared to get the measurements wrong...  :oo:  ...Hey, does that mean if I just give you the measurements of something I needed instead, then I could end up with a nice Missile rack for my Chaos Titans?
