After a pageful of terrain and objectives, let us return to the things of shooty, steely and arctic death. Artillery is a nice and traditional way of providing indirect fire, but sometimes we just want to blast them with a huge load of shreaking and soaring thingies, called rockets! So therefore I have bolstered my regiment with a platoon of tracked rocket launcher weapons system, known better as the Manticore. These nasty tanks have the launcher system from a Soviet TOS-1 Buratino, with a Leopard 1 hull like my Hydras. The Leopard hull makes it look more modern and uniform with the Hydras and the Basilisks. The launchings have charred the launcher tubes on both sides and the tanks' exhaust systems have left sooty trails on the rears. These are numbered 511-513.

The TOS-1 turret looks good on a Leopard hull doesn't it?

Hello, I am back again after busy weeks at work. If small rockets from a Manticore makes someone tremble in fear, a huge missile mostly makes everyone do it. The Segmentum command has authorized the use of nuclear arsenal, so I hereby present my first Deathstrike launcher. This classic vehicle should be recognisable by everyone, yes, it is the SCUD-B launcher. While these in real life use conventional warheads, I prefer my regiment to use nuclear warheads (hence the code N1, meaning nuclear, first launcher). What would be better than blast those pesky Gargants with a small warhead with the yield of few kilotons...

The next one will come during this summer, hopefully.

Greetings everyone! Several months have passed since I last painted something. That is because my office was moved to another city, and I had to move after it. No miniatures or any other property was lost during the process. All kinds of work related stuff has kept me busy, but I had some time to paint yesterday. So here is the another Deathstrike with the previous one, at last.

I'm not sure what comes next, nor when. But hopefully during this year. So let's look forward to it.

Love 'em. Love your use of GHQ Armor to proxy IG, as well. I tried with my Chimaeras, but they don't fit in with the rest of my "heroic" scale stuff. Gonna see if I can't find some useful APC/AOT to use.

Agreed with O-Man that the Scud model is fantastic.

Well, I was not able to paint anything before new year. Somehow that does not surprise me, work keeps me busy. But now I have managed to build some terrain.

Let's start with some tank traps. These were made of pieces cut from sprues. Very simple to do.

Next some concertina wire. With enough bulk and diameter to keep Orks at bay!

Unless they crash through with a tank...

As you can see, the tank was stopped with autocannons and missiles. But what if they come in dozens? Can the guardsmen hold the line?

All I can think of when I see the launchers is "You have a tent!"

What is that last little piece of armor? A light tank from the Ogre/SJ series?

Looks like a GHQ T-64 chassis with scratchbuilt spaced armor. Not sure of the turret.

Great work. I cannot believe I missed the Death-Scuds. The obstacles look great, and easy to make as well. Great inspirational stuff. The blown-out tank is a great addition. Are you planning on GHQ miniatures for an ork adversary as well?

Thank you. I don't like concertina wire myself, it is annoying to clear out.

Quite close. It is a T-72 hull with scratchbuilt spaced armor indeed. The turret is entirely made of plasticard. I had this hull as a leftover from those TOS-1 Buratinos.

Thanks. Yes, I have thought of making an Ork force of GHQ minis, but it might take a year or something to implement. These guardsmen will get more attention very soon, I have alread ordered some stuff...
