Strangely bizarre, well done that Vanvlak, though the reminders of school life were not appreciated I'm only allowed sacrificial victims when I'm having a Hypo, what does that mean?

Nice bit-mining on the Throne of Judgement piece. I'll have to check the rest of the Witchunter line for some good flaming pieces.

Hi all, today is the deadline, I think, and a rush paint job has finished the Tzeentchian altar. I have to say I prefer Warmaster Nices and Wraeththus grander efforts to mine, but at least I stuck to easily available comtemporary bits; the one eception is the Cyclops blade up front, but that can easily be replaced by other Epic bits, or fabricated out of plasticard. I was just lazy....
I painted the left hand brazier flames a Tzeentchian blue, tying in with flamer aspects, and serving as the altars main weapon. The Rhinos are a battered ex-Imperial pair, and Mr. Thousand Son Statue is standing on a pair of ex-Space Wolf vehicles..... Bad me! The triumph of change, I guess....

And here he is again. A bit over-illuminated, these pics, but I like them better than my previous efforts. And they are, for once, cropped. The backdrop comes from the Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD) site, and is seen on my computer monitro with Mr. Son in front. Well, cheers all - this was fun. What's next, CS?

Cool. Me likes! Maybe add a chaos Icon from the 40k Spikey Bitz spure for extra detail?
Cheers!

The plan is to add a few cultists and paint a Tzeentch glyph onto the round altar.
I also considered getting the banner poles from the Throne of Judgement to use the braziers, but in the end decided on a straightforward altar. After all, that's what it's supposed to be...

hmm... I'd like to jump on the chaos altar band-wagon, as I have my own ideas too.
I haven't got around to it because I want to slow down the growth of my chaos to let the other forces florish a bit.
But I have two plans for two pieces for each chaos force
Daemon Piece - Consist of the specific Chaos Altar (i.e. Khorne, Slaanesh etc) where the Daemon prince will be standing next to and his horde of smaller daemons.
Primarch Piece - Consists of the Primarch, the Chaos champion (Kharn, Typhus etc), and the SM legion.
