Thanks guys.

@glorfidel, I like them. Mechanically, there's not a lot there: roll a d6 and add some modifiers to see what your shooting does, or roll opposed d6 and add some modifiers to resolve a combat. The bidding system and turn clock make it interesting though as they add decision points, resource management and friction (you might not get to activate your lower bids). The result was three games where the players were able to run it themselves with little oversight after a couple of turns.

The main rules were $15, and the two scenario books were $15 each as well. There's free scenarios in the download section to give you an idea of how the author does things. For the smaller scenarios you'll need 10 units per side, as well as some artillery, a couple of generals and HQs and maybe some cavalry. For the biggest ones, maybe 50 per side. Depending on what you're able to stomach, abstraction-wise, that can means painting a whole lot of figures or only a few.

I'd like to run the free "A Formidable Invasion" mini-campaign at some point. Players maneuver divisions on a campaign map and set up their own three days of Gettysburg.

I finished up two more players for my Orc Blood Bowl for a Sevens tournament the guys are looking to play tomorrow. Annoyingly, the last decals I tried to stick on them (the white player type on the base rims) just fell apart on me in the water. So I wasn't able to get them top-coated either. Hopefully I'll be able to track down some more decals from the 2016 box.

I wanted to at least paint one thing new for this weekends tournament, I had hoped to finish three of these but only managed the two in my list.

We had our fifth annual ShIT (Shieldbash Invitational Tournament) this past weekend so it's finially safe to reveal what I've been working on in secret: three more Nhilde made for an "ungentlemanly" ammount of troll (but the cries of complaint/incredulity were well worth it). All's fair in muppet love and war.

We also had our first chariot race event. The entire chariot is scratch-built with plasticard. The birds are converted out of wooden beeds and wire, and the cew got a bit of conversion work too. It was prompty destroyed first (see the aforementioned above).

I'll be heading up to Maine this week for a vacation, these 15mm Khazar are coming with me so I can start painting for the Fall In! Triumph! tournament.

I've fallen behind my schedule slogging through all these horses. They're pretty much down now, so I'm turning my attention to the riders. They got their various leathers basecoated and washed today, I need to highlight those next and then do the clothes, wood and accent colors. This is 31 of my 48 points, so hopefully I'll be able to get through the infantry quicker for the end of October.

Thanks, I think their goofyness is their greatest assets.

I managed to finish these up for Fall In! but wanted to clean them up and finish a few more horse bow before I took pictures. I need a few more bases, and I can add six stands of elite calvary and four stands of light infantry, but this is a good place to stop for now.

Really nice work as always Dave, are you stopping at two warbands for Triumph! - or is there a third faction that interests you?

Thanks guys.

If we head down to Fall In next year there's supposed to be a New World tourney happening, I'll likely paint a Chinantec army for that.
