Good grief that stuff's good. If you ever get bored of painting black, I've got a few that need to be done in purple... ;)

nope, came as part of the mini. One is a bit miscast and missing two side prongs, I was going to fix it by adding two small bits of rod, but now they're painted i can't be bothered :D

next up will probably be a mini with 8 las cannon barrels.

Please stop producing such high quality items, your posts are as much an inspiration as they are a slab of rock to my motivation ;D

The sculptor was hoping people would just snip them off and insert more slender rods or etched brass. The originals had to be big and chunky to survive printing, mastering, and casting.

interesting, i hand't noticed them looking too big (in direct comparison i can see they are too thick for scale, but it hadn't bothered me). I think i'm too lazy to go back and re-rod though ::)

my compliments to whoever the sculptor was, should they be reading. It's a neat piece to work with

following the centurions, i present everyone's least favourite LR variant

These are actually a real pain to drybrush due to the detail. Lots of detail, but relatively low relief – probably realistically low in scale terms, but hard to drybrush. Terminus is to be used as a crusader, going for 4 crusaders but i dont have that many, so doing some mix n match with parts. The front set of las sponson on the terminus would be better with forum predator las sponsons, but it seems that's one of the few variants I never got ::) so those are LR las guns cut in half and stuck on plasticard mounts :D

Nice execution mate and lovely paint work but all in all a silly variant LR for sure.

(Side eyes jimmyzimms)

You did a great job. I know what you mean about low relief. I recently had the same experience with one of my own old sculpts. Gotta exaggerate this stuff, people!
