Great work - the contrast on the washes and sharp edge highlights are impressive. Looks like you have a very good lighting/photo rig (?) Looking forward to seeing more.

Nah :) I just use white sheet as background, normal lamp and a flash. If you know your camera you don't need all that fancy lighting equipment to do proper pics.

Just how I like my smurfs Ultras, bright and bad ass. Leave other chapters for the grim and dirty as they're the one bit of rationalism and progressiveness in the Imperium so the look fits. They've never been my cup of tea (though after Abnett's treatment of them in KNF I must reconsider) but these are ace!

Top work all over
highlighting and washing came out perfect
There was another Epic player from Poland here.
I do not remember his name but he was playing Orks
and built most of the stuff on it´s own.

New update! ;D Its been a good few weeks but as i wrote this will be slow project. Here's what's been going on:

Im mostly done with the tacticals, although i still need to do the bases and some highlighting.

I have also painted one terminator detachment.

As you can see the captain is slightly elevated. This is why:

Magnets! Quick change and here is the same formation without char upgrade :)

The only problem is with elevated minis but i decided its worth to have one magnetized command base in every formation and just change minis than to do a stand for each hero. Besides when ill glue sand to the bases i think it wont be as much visible.

Ive also got myself some plasticard and started to build a titan from scratch. Its still in the early stages and sometimes i have a feeling that i dont know what im doing ;) as its my first time building with this material. But generaly its quite fun.

Neat magnet-job! Scratchbuild looking interesting too. Warlord or similar?

Edit: Looking closer, judging by the leg config, seems more houndy

Nice clean paint jobs, smart use of magnets, and a very promising, skillful scratch built titan.

Impressive, nice work.

Yep! You got it right, i want to make it as a warhound proxy, but i will need to find some wolf like head for him. I was thinking about this helmet from space wolves:

But if anyone knows about other tech like wolf heads bits that would fit let me know, im still looking.

The scratch built titan looking good. I like to do this type of stuff too, but a bit of planning is good sometimes... however I just trusted instinct :D

As for the magnets, if you're willing to do this, then you may as well buy thinner magnets. I've used magnets that are the same thickness as the base of the space marine. So it's just carefully drilling from the bottom up and fitting the magnet in.

Instead of magnets how about just using a small piece of double sided carpet tape. I've used it myself to allow removable items, the tape is thin, cheaper than magnets and replaceable.

Just an idea.
