Hi there! It's been about 3 years since I posted here, as I got terribly distracted by anything other than 6mm models (mostly two moves and three job switches, but I digress). Recently however, I found my bag of Forge World terrain, which includes enough Aeronautica Imperialis models and terrain to cover a 4x4 easily. As such, I've been bitten by the Epic bug again, and have been painting up some marines!

I've also included some pictures of my Eldar some people might remember from a long time ago. They are far from finished, but I hope that painting a formation or two between other projects will keep me going. Now without further ado . . .

Space Marines!

I love Space Wolves, and as such had to paint my marines like the Sons of Russ. Currently, I'm working on a formation of Terms, Tactical Marines, and Assault Marines. I'm also not sold on a basing scheme yet and am trying a few different ones out. I'm also experimenting with some cyclone missile launchers made out of Typhoon launchers from the Land Speeders.

That's some very nice looking stuff. Those Cobras are especially sharp.

Thanks! The Cobras are my favourite from that army as well. I need to finish the other 4 I have, and the 3 Scorpions. I spent some extra time on them since there are so many flat spaces, and added extra highlights compared to anything other than the half finished Vampire (which incidentally I can't find anywhere at the moment).

Looks sweet, how does the FW Thunderhawk compare with the Current GW version?

Thanks for the complements!

@Zombie Jay - the FW Thunderhawk is MASSIVE compared to the current GW one. Although more expensive, it's much more detailed and realistic (if you can use that word when describing a Sci Fi game). It's about the size of the metal Lander.

Here's some more Wolves! I settled on the basing scheme after spending 30 or so minutes staring at GF9's flock. Sorry about the blurriness - I have yet to make my light box, and I'm just using some paper and a desk lamp at the moment.

This one is really blurry at the front, but you can see the guys behind really well.

And the finished Drop Pods

I think I might have had the zoom on when I took the infantry pictures. Definitely going to make sure I don't do that again. Been a very, very long time since I've photographed models heh.

Cheers guys!

Very nice indeed. What process are you using to get that yellow looking the way it does?
