Thanks for the kind comments guys. I enjoyed the 2 games, though they seemed to drag abit being both instructional games with new players and having to flick back and forth in the rules. Oh well, 2 new converts so its worth it!
Yes, you'll find most of my paint jobs are real world. My favourite inspirations are the Signal Production books "Panzer Colours". You can see though from the Baneblades that what looks really good up close does the job too well at wargaming range- the models loses all shape and blends in (ie it works). Once, I lost a detachment because of this and didnt activate them for a trun...Oouch! 
Anyhow back to painting...some down...lots and LOTS to go
