Just a quick note that I have added the various sub-ACs as moderators to their respective boards. This gives them the ability to sticky threads, move threads, etc.

Reasoning behind this is that they are clearly trusted by the AC and therefore can drive development and keep momentum going generally if the AC is not around for a bit.

If there are any that I have missed, please drop me a PM.

Thanks.

I AM A GOD IN HUMAN FORM!

Ahem.

Sure, makes sense. I'll try not to bring the place into disrepute. ;)

This seems like a sensible move to me. I take it that they'll also be responsible for dealing with other moderation issues, such as spam/off topic posts, or will this still only be handled by the mods in green, and yourself?

They have the ability to. As a rule, I try to avoid even this kind of moderation within development boards, as I would rather the ACs are able to set their own rules for their sub-communities there.

Ok i can now edit other peoples postings. But it would be nice to lock older/obsolete threads who are nice to read but no one should post there anymore.

actually, could army sub-champs have it as a custom title?

make it a lot easier to track.

Do you mean just give them a custom title, or set up a separate user group for them (i.e. different coloured star and user name colour + customised moderation capabilities)?

You cant? Are you sure? You should be able to lock threads.

Its basically the same thing. I could create custom titles, but that would have to be done for each individual user. I dont really want to create a new group, and the ACs are listed as board moderators in green, so it should be fairly easy to keep tabs on them.

This is great since I give my sub-champs almost total autonomy!

Thats the idea, so they are ready and in place to step up when/if needed, and give the AC the freedon to decide how to run things.

And where is the button for locking threads?

Edit: Found it. Lower left corner of the screen :D

Not really, because creating the custom title would just be typed in individually as you say, without altering the current permissions for that group; whereas creating a new group would involve a lot more work :D.
