I know there are a few people who are in the midst of putting together Epic supplements akin to Raiders and Siege, and plenty more who have plans in the works. What I am looking for right now is information on fan supplements that have gone past the planning stage. Do you solidly have the armies pinned down that you are going to use? Have you begun formatting army lists for the book? Are you collecting art work and other pictures for your tome? Etc... If you can, please bring me into the loop as to where things stand on your project. Army list names and versions, projected completion dates, page layout (a.k.a. the paper size you are planning on using), approximate final page count of book, problems you are having, any needs you may have, and so on. You don't necessarily have to post this information here. If it is easier, you can email me at moscovian@hotmail.com (subject 'supplement update') or PM me. Any method is fine. Thanks! |

Epic: Nemesis. Currently in formatting stage. Needs unit pictures for 1K Sons and a majority of SW. Most SW minis still need to be painted. Has Space Wolves v2.4 and Thousand Sons 5.1 army lists (SW are pretty much set but am not 100% sure how Neal Hunt feels about the 1K Sons list i.e whether he wants to update it). Most of the artwork has been collected. Still need to get hold of the 300 DPI pics from Stugmeister. Page Layout is US Letter (but may revert to A4 as I'm still on the fence with which to use). Projected completion is sometime this year hopefully. I had originally intended to be complete by May this year but that is not likely. Approx. page count is looking at around 60-70+ pages. Needs: Unit data sheet icons completed Scenarios written Fiction written (I have written history of Chapters so far but I think I need to redo and write fiction about campaign instead/as well) Problems: Motivation atm. After compiling the Compendium I'm a little uninterested in formatting right now. |

Epic: Mechanicus Fiction complete. Formatting essentially complete. Page Layout is A4 (the same as Epic: Siege) Approx Page Count : ~200 Army Lists and current playtesting level: Adeptus Mechanicus - Titan Legion (Legio Destructor) - Moderately/Well playtested (it's a less powerful version of the Approved War Gryphonnes list) Adeptus Mechanicus - Skitarii Planetary Defence Force - Moderately playtested Adeptus Mechanicus - Knight Household Achill - Moderately playtested (prognosis looking increasingly good) Imperial Guard - Atillan Rough Rider Regiment - Lightly playtested (but has great potential as a theme list IMO) >Possible> Imperial Guard - Netean Regiment (a way to get NetEA Steel Legion into a book) - Well playtested Adeptus Astartes - Black Templars -Moderately playtested Adeptus Astartes - Imperial Fists - Lightly playtested Ork - Gobgutz Badfang's Stompy Onslaught - Lightly playtested (but balance completely fine so far from reports & my experience) Ork - Orkbert Orkstein's Gargant Bigmob - Moderately playtested Ork - Harley Orkison's Speed Freaks Warband - Well playtested (It's just the NetEA speed freaks list) Ork - Kolonel Sandork's Blood Axes Tribe - Moderately/Well playtested (or at least a very similar list by Nealhunt has seen lots of playtests - I intend to focus on playtesting this list after finishing testing on the Stompy Onslaught list) Ork - Sun-Tzork's Grotling Waaaaagh! - Playtesting does not matter for this joke list, it's not really meant to be played in any kind of serious or competetive manner. >Possible>Eldar - Eldar Titan Clan - Moderately playtested (concerns about balance remain, especially of spammed sonic weapon arms) Supplemental army lists: - NetEA War Gryphonnes - EpicUK Black Templars - EpicUK Speed Freaks (Basically the same as NetEA?) Needs: Artwork / Nicely drawn Maps (spaces have been reserved in the fiction with descriptions of each artwork) Some unit photos needed Some datafax texts Playtesting of army lists noted above Projected completion date: When artwork is done, remaining photos taken, and playtesting complete. All else is basically ready to go. If no artists step up to help with the artwork, I'll probably do photos of miniatures instead, but I'd rather some awesome artwork. |

Epic: Hive Fiction about 50% complete Formatting the fiction as I go due to the structure of the story (a series of documents presented as an incident report rather than prose). Army lists are formatted. Page size is US Letter (to my surprise, I thought it was A4!) Current page count is 49, expected around 100. 3 Lists. Not all that concerned about the unfinished nature of the lists, as I'm planning to release the pdf then update until the lists are stable, then print. Tyranid Hive Fleet Leviathan 3.0 - Experimental Children of the Light Genestealer Cult 1.1 - Experimental Adeptus Ministorum Orders Militant (Sisters of Battle) 1.4 - Development I have about 50% of the drawn artwork, but only around 10% of the photos. To do myself: Finish the Fiction Write fluff for each Sisters unit type Rules for fighting on Hive Worlds Scenarios Needs from others: More artwork, especially a front cover, pictures related to 'nids and 'stealer cults, as well as for a few specific events in the fiction. Datafax pictures Army pictures and battle shots etc. Hive terrain photos |

I'm staying with A4, which is what I did Siege in. |

A4 is part of the ISO 216 Standard International Paper Size in use just about everywhere other than the US. It's also what's used in the UK, the origin country of the game in question. (Also, this game uses SI units of measurement. Truely an international game!) |

And unfortunately not the same size as Armageddon, or Swordwind for that matter. Raiders was never intended for printing and I was too lazy to reformat 2.0 to one of the existing sizes. My main concern was the envelopes I shipped them in, but I found an envelope size that can accommodate A4 and standard 8.5x11 so... Just keep me in the loop. |

My thought when chosing a page size originally was for people in the majority of the world to be able to print it out on the most common printer paper type (A4). It was a pleasant surprise when it turned out that Moscovian's printers could handle A4, as although it's the most common paper size almost everywhere else, it's comparatively rare in the USA (because they're not on the metric system). |

First part relevant, second part not so much.... Moscovian wrote: And unfortunately not the same size as Armageddon, or Swordwind for that matter. We almost had a agreed on size and then it all went to poop on a stick! I don't really care what size as along as everyone follows suit from hence forth. Is it a pain to re-format docs from one size to another? |

Quote: Is it a pain to re-format docs from one size to another? If you have a 60 page story written with each page carefully formatted, yes. |
