Alright guys, after the talk on the other two threads and some conferring/conniving with the ERC here's what we're hoping to do this year. Steve came up with this one, and we agreed that it was a good compromise. Collect typos throughout January, put out a revision Feb, 1 Collect typos throughout March, put out a revision April, 1 Collect typos through April-June, put out a revision July 1 And for 2013 and after: Work on list revisions and have the new version out by Jan 1 Collect typos throughout January, put out a revision Feb, 1 Collect typos through February-June, put out a revision July 1 Essentially it's: post in Jan, collect typos for a month (2 months for this year since it just came out) and repost, collect typos for half a year and repost. Lather, rinse, repeat. Additionally, we'll look to have an Approved Compendium out at some point too (either in July or next Jan. given time constraints) which will essentially be the Compendium minus the exp. and dev. lists. Finally, we'll also look at the formatting issues and the rest, again to either be put out in the July revision or next year depending on time. |

Will there or could there be a change list PDF? Say I printed the Current Edition and instead of reprinting I just want to print off a 1 page slip noting the details that I can just stick with my book and make a little handnote in the main lists? |

I'd like one. I'll probably get mine bound in a comb binding, and with a change list I can just print the pages with changes and switch them out. |

yeah, but the change list should be kept as part of the main pdf, not a seperate file. less problems that way. |

Quote: Why the changes have to wait for two months? I agree with Hena. Typo fixing is easy and takes minutes. We have a list of about 50 typos, and it would take a couple of hours to fix them all, right now, instead of in two month's time. |

Where has 2 months come from? As Dave has clearly stated this first effort will be updated for typoes monthly for 3 months - therefore the next update will be feb 1st - 3 weeks time. After those 3 checks hopefully everything will be caught but there will be a final update at mid year of anything that has slipped through. In future years there will hopefully be less to catch so typoes after 1 month, final check after 6 No 2 month wait anywhere. To expect more than this from volunteers is unrealistic |

Quote: Where has 2 months come from? Misread it sorry. Still don't see a need to wait 3 months at a time if there are known errors that would only take a couple of minutes to fix, though. |
