It has been over a week since the last comment on the NetERC thread, and so I am kicking things off. The first stage is to appoint a Chair of the NetERC.

Description of the Role - NetERC Chair

The Chair sets direction, deadlines and goals for the NetERC and the project in general. They oversee development at a macro level. They are expected to interact primarily with the other four members of the NetERC. They should co-ordinate development and set priorities, and resolve any disagreements. They are overall responsible for the momentum of the development.

They have a support team made up of the remaining four NetERC members.

Priorities

1. Set up the NetERC remaining four members
2. Set up a schedule for development
3. Keep the community focussed and development moving and on track

Nomination

Anyone can volunteer for this. Please just drop me a PM, and include
- why you think you would be good at the role
- what you think the priorities of the NetERC should be

Closing date for this is midnight Sunday 6th November 2011.

Epic: Hive Development Thread

There was a discussion on this topic. I can't locate the thread specifically, but I believe that the conclusion centered on an AC managing two lists, and it was felt that this was OK within reason - for example as the AC of one stable list and one list under development was acceptible. As Dave is one of the two co-ACs on a single list, I felt that this was not an issue at this time, although I am sure that Dave will keep this under review to see if either a conflict or time constraints cause issues.

Congratulations on the posting Lord-Commissar Dave! Got the army book done yet?

I figure we're a small enough community that we can't necessarily require people to be one or other. So long as Dave has the time and commitment for both let him at it I say. Chroma was the Eldar AC and Net-ERC member after all.

And Neal was chair and orks and Hena was a member and Marines. And they all had sub lists that they were working on in other races to boot.

I thought that dual roles were being scrapped as rather notably, those who held dual roles didn't actually get much army list development done after a while.

If I was unclear, then I do apologise. If anyone who is an AC would like to put their name forward for the two currently advertised posts, they are welcome to do so. It is a factor and should be monitored to ensure that people are not getting overwhelmed, but even if this is the case, the member themselves should be able to select which post they wanted to keep and which to drop.
