Post subject: | Imperial Gorgon rules? |
Greetings. I have done a few searches and am struggling to find rules for the Imperial Gorgon. I know there aren't any in the main rulebook, so thought they may have been discussed here. Some searches alluded to rules, but I can't find them anywhere. I imagined they might have been in one of the variant Guard lists. Thanks in advance. |

They're used by both the Adeptus Mechanicus and the Death Korps of Krieg - see the Siege supplement for their stats. |

Death Korps Gorgon Siege Transporter WE 20cm 4+ 6+ 6+ (5+) 2x Twin Heavy Stubbers Gorgon Mortars (2BP, One-Shot, Indirect, Fward Arc 30cm) OR 2x Twin Heavy Bolters (AP4+) Heavy Bolters upgrade Firefight stat to 5+ (if you take Mortars the FF is 6+) Reinforced Armour, Walker, Transport (10 Inf) DC3. Critical = Immobilised Note the gorgon does not use WE Transport rules so can only transport members of its own formation. |

Cool, thanks guys. As I don't play Guard, I may adjust the weapon fit to be more Orky, and use them as Looted Gorgons. Swap the Heavy Stubbers for Big Shootas, and the Mortars for Lobbas and hey presto. I'm considering upping the speed to 25cm to represent the Meks 'tinkerin', and either removing the Reinforced armour or upping the save to 5+ to compensate - what do you think? Crammed full of Nobz in 'yella mega arma' and a load of Boyz tooled up for kickin' would scare anybody I hope. Or at least draw fire away from the Gun Fortresses... |

The easiest way from a rules/balance standpoint is take your suitably orkified gorgon and use it as a battle/gunfortress using the counts-as rule. I don't know the ork list, but it does have some war engines that should fit the bill. |

Yep, a suitably orkified Gorgon makes an excellent Battlefortress counts-as. |

If you're using the old 2nd edition Gorgon models, I'd use them as counts-ass battlewagons/trukks. They're not big enough to be war engines. |
