I had a great game last night with my Nids, but one situation came up where we were not sure what to do.
My Dominatrix stood in range to support an ongoing engagement. The question is, can extra FF attacks be used in support fire - or in effect, should I use 8 or 8+1 MW dice.
We went for 8, since the rules were not entirely clear on the matter, and I did not want to benefit from a "fuzzy" situation. All I could find this morning was:
1.12.6: Calling on support allows units from other formations to attack with their firefight value if they are within 15cm and have a line of fire to an enemy unit directly involved in the assault.
2.2.3: Some assault and close combat weapons are noted as having extra attacks (+x). Units armed with these weapons receive a number of extra attacks equal to ‘x’ during an assault.
In 1.12.6, support units are explicitly not directly involved in the assault. In 2.2.3, it depends on the meaning of "during". Support attacks could be read as be resolved during an assault and therefore benefit from them. On the other hand, "during" could be synonymous to "in".
So, how do you play?
Cheers, /Fredmans

You get any extra FF attacks when supporting.

Support gets any and all of its FF abilities, so you'd get the MW. All support is simultaneous I believe, too. So it doesn't matter which order you roll them in unless you have First Strikes. I think you need to roll those first and remove casualties. Then measure for the regular/MW attacks, and allocate those hits like in an assault.

Thanks for the quick answers. That is how we use to play it, only this last game was against someone from a different gaming group, and they had played it differently.
