Post subject:  Epic Badab Wars - IA09 - Badab Wars
Hello,

Well I am currently finishing off a chaos army for ToEG this year but have been slowly planning my next and more ambitious project.

I would like to create an Epic SM army based around the Badab Wars and specifically use one of the chapters from IA09. Eventually I will also make a traitor SM Army but for now will stick with the Emperor ones.

As part of this army which is primarily a hobby project I would like to create a Epic Army List and rule set to reflect the 40k ones for these chapters and also rules around fighting Badab Wars battles.

Has anyone else started anything on this? Has anyone else got any Badab Wars list they have already made? Has this sort of project been started before / completed?

The idea would be to have an army list for each of the SM and Renegade SM armies and put them together along with battles in a supplement to the Badab Wars books - IA09 and IA10.

Yeah this sort of thing. So creating a set of lists around the Badab war chapters. For example the Fire Hawks prefer close combat and so this could feature in their list. Also they are not strict Astartes so this would alter their list allowance. This is the first time I have every wanted to create lists but I love the concept behind the Badab war and the Heresey fights with Imperial Marines vs Pre-Chaos Marines!

Think I have seen this Salamanders list before. I'd like to stick to Badab specific.

Well i don't know what changes should be made to make this Salamanders list more Badab specific :D

Also most if not all Chapters in IA9 are more or less strictly Codex. Iguess IA10 will ave more of the wacky Chapters included.

Yeah you're probably right. Have to look forward to IA10. In the mean time I need to choose a chapter for my first Epic SM army!! Arghhhhh.
