Does an aircraft landing in your half stop you getting They Shall not pass (obviously it doesn't fly off)?

I was under the impression from somewhere that Aircraft could not get Objectives.

Objectives do not equal "Victory Conditions"; they are two different things.

Planes that land cannot claim objectives, but claiming objectives concerns only three of the five Victory Conditions in the Tournament scenario.

As far as I know, a landed aircraft *does* count as an enemy model in the opponent's half.

And landed AC can contest objects, right?

Contesting Of Objectives:

Only if they landed LAST turn and STAY landed throughout THAT turn. Geddit?

Thats for holding objectives - they can land+contest in the same turn, but have to stay landed in the end phase

No MoK, thats claiming.
So its land turn 3, don't disembark, contest in end phase.
Turn 4 survive, don't disembark, claim objective.

That's what I thought.  :)

I landed a Thunderhawk on an objective to contest it once and Zombocom damn near had a fit.

That in and of itself is a good enough reason to do something, no?

I know it is a valid play within the game, however I really would not wish to win a game with such a tactic.

It is the one rule within the game that can really take a close and enjoyable battle to a level where it is just not fun to play.

I personally feel that the game would be a lot better if landing aircraft couldn't contest on the turn they land. It's gamey.
