Could even look at running some varied scenarios in tournament play.

We did that at the Bristol Tournament early this year, t'was my favourite tournament of the year.

Yup - check out Chroma's "Total War" scenarios. Great fun and very different - for starters there are unequal forces scenarios which present a whole new set of strategic and tacical problems. We have been trying out ways of using them in a 'tournament setting', and it is workable though there is a long way to go yet.

and until this year he had no concept of "second place"! ;D

He once came in second place just because he wanted to know what it felt like. ;)

Any playtesting of the "EPIC: Total War" scenarios is *greatly* appreciated.

More work will be done on them soon as well.

Indeed...and the only reason Bristol hasn't got scenarios this year is because the tournament has been organised a little last minute: otherwise we'd run something a bit more special again!
