Teardrop Templates with Ignore Cover -vs- WE shielding targets behind them: Wouldn't an Ignore Cover weapon that uses a teardrop template that fires at/near a WE be able to hit any potential target beyond the WE that is "shielded" by it? ?After all, isn't the intervening WE merely cover on a grander scale?

That's more of an example of "Block Line of Sight" than "Cover", so an ignore cover weapon wouldn't allow you to hit targets behind a war engine anymore than the ability lets you shout *through* intervening terrain pieces.

As much as I like the flamer/teardrop template, I think a lot of problems could be avoided by just making any "squirt" weapons short range Barrage weapons instead.

A 2BP 15cm weapon can give you approximately the same "reach" as a flamer template and we don't need to add any new rules, and allows for easily figuring out what multiple weapons on the same chassis do.  I think it might be the "neatest" solution to all this.

Yes, the Great Unclean One has it (noticed that as I was doing layout), but the ability isn't really defined, so that might need to change.

I like the rules (and the silly range of the "flamer"  :D ), however I'm not that happy about WE blocking the fire if they are hit dead centre.

Sure a great gargant would.

But not a battlefortress, when the infernogun is pointed down at it from a titan mount.

And how do titan legs stop the fire, they arn't that massive.
