Slow firing is tracked individually; it is not a rule that affects the barrage per se, it only affects the weapon after firing. If not all BP weapons in a formation are Indirect Fire, firing them all will lose Indirect. However, it is always an option not to fire certain weapons, so you can retain Indirect by chosing not to fire any weapons without that ability.
