It seems that all things which very hotly debatet and essentially split the community in two aren't included in any way in the errata.

Nearly all of the unit changes weren't included.

Rough Riders, Deathstrike, Marine Drop Pods, Marine Armour...

Commissars are still random, Marine Scouts still only get one sniper upgrade, Fireprism is still nuts...

I'm not thrilled at all.

Quite a disappointment in the Eldar department.

The 1.8 changes made a lot of sense and I don?t remember anyone disputing them, wonder why they were left out. I fear we?ll never know...

Well, for some reason Jervis feels that Vindicators require *no* changes... which is, I'm sorry, *wrong*.

And the lack of Eldar changes, other than losing two "special rules" and some Warp Spider transport issues seems absurdly minimalist to me.  *sigh*  Well, the alt-Eldar lists will definitely need reworking now as a six tank Swords of Vaul stuffed with Fire Prisms will be a nightmare!

That part was in there, but the Drop Pod is still being treated as a unit rather than a marker you remove.

I am also puzzled by the minimist army list revisions. However, perhaps, maybe, now that the majority of the rules changes have made it, we can get consensus behind the less contentious army list changes and get them included at a later date - say next week :p

This effectively ends the development process, with Jervis seeing these corrections as finishing and locking the Epic rules.


Oh my! I really hope that is to be taken literally and and "rules" exludes units and lists.

Well, there is always NetEA.  The good thing is this gives everyone an answer for the long debated issues.  A lack of an answer is still an answer - don't change it.

Now everyone is forced to decide - do I stick with the OFFICIAL changes or do I go with something a little more progressive (possibly changes made by NetEA)?  There is no more sitting on the fence for anyone.
