Hmm ok...but is it a whise decision to have a Chaos Marine as Space Marine Champion...eg ME? :D

I rather think that the Chaos Space Marine Black Legion list needs sorting first, followed by working on a whole raft of variant lists.

Where a main list has variants worked off it then I feel that the model used for the ork lists should be followed. One AC for the main list and then separate AC's for variant lists if required.

Paradoxically i play more SM than CSM. So i'm not very familliar how the BlackLegion plays. Had only 2 games with them so far.

But this wouldn't stop me to therory hammer :D
In fact in my head is forming a Red Corsair armylist based on the current "Renegade" Chaos Space Marine Codex.

I think the main thing to do is determine what the path for a NetEA might be first.

I think that we should have a single 'Marine Champion', who can assign sub-Chapters if required, but is tasked with co-ordinating stats, getting updates for the lists moving, etc and making decisions based on issues across multiple Chapter lists.

I'd say this is the way to go for every race.  One champion for an army and all variants.  They could delegate however they wanted, but at the end of the day one person to take responsibility.

mhm....if nobody else will do it....I would like to try it. marines are the list I play most time (beside of minervans). I am rather good in knowing the problems you encounter when fielding them. I amk good in analytics but I don?t know anything about my acceptance in the community.

To be honest, I have really no problem if anybody other would do it, but before we have nothing moving on......

I'm sure there are many who would like the honour (I know I would love to try an idea or three), but there is no formalised structure for appointing new champions...

Neal, your thoughts?

Not to sound like a broken record, but I really think that if there is going to be a concerted NetEA project, the first step is to decide what the end goal is.  "Don't start without the end in mind" and all that kind of stuff.

A - Balance the existing army lists and rules.

B - Introduce new army lists.

LONDON (ShareCast) - Tom Kirkby, chairman of fantasy war game model specialist Games Workshop, bought 120,000 shares in the company today, lifting his stake by 0.39% to 6.96%.

Kirkby, a former tax inspector who became a general manager (Advertisement)

for Games Workshop in 1986, paid 202p a share, or a total of ?242,400.

Well, why didn't anyone think of this before?... All we need to do is buy 51% of the stock and we can fix the whole mess.  I did a rough calculcation and I figured all we need is to buy about 930,000 shares. :p  Once we do that we can put this whole Space Marine Champion problem to rest.

Well... I have good news for you, Mosc!

Most publicly traded shares don't vote.  Some shareholders don't care.  Many institutional investors, like mutual funds, actually have internal policies prohibiting them from voting their shares.

As a result, you only need a few % to have substantial influence.  You only need 10% to have a major stake, and 20% is usually enough to pretty much give you power equal to a sole proprietor.

I just saved you 60%!  Whattabargain!!  :D

On the downside, the outstanding shares are ~31 million rather than ~2 million as your number suggests.  That offsets the percent savings by just a bit... :(

10% of their total market cap is going to be something like 3 million shares/6.5 million GBP.

I just extrapolated off the article - maybe I forgot to carry a zero or something. Hmmm..

But 6.5m GBP ain't bad.  Split that up amongst several hundred dedicated Epic players and we only need to pitch in about 10,000 GBP each.  Problem solved.

Seriously though, what the heck are we going to do?

Or something. The shares he bought represented 0.39%, so rough ball pack is multiply the number of shares he bought by 300.

Greetings all, long time no see. Just posting here in response to Chroma's email. I just wanted to let you all know i'm happy for someone else to take over being Space Marine army champion. I still play Epic but I'm not interested in being the champion any more, too busy with other things. Sorry if I left anyone hanging around waiting for updates, I had completely forgotten about being the army champion :O.

I'm not really familiar with most of the names on the boards these days as its been ages since I came here, so I don't have anyone particular in mind to take over. I'm sure you guys can come up with something between you though.

Hope you guys keep on enjoying Epic and I look forward to seeing what you come up with :)

Regards,
Aston Olsen
