Hi All, I joined these forums several months ago and have mostly lurked. I'm about to make the plunge and get back into Epic(stopped during E40K a while ago). I have to admit that I am slightly overwhelmed with all the updated army lists, experimental rules, etc. I've just got the core EA rulebook and Swordwind. Are those OK to start with for the time being? I'm starting to put together a small Eldar army. I live in the greater Denver, CO regios(Westminster to be exact). Not sure if there is much of a player base around here or not. Thanks! -Ed |

Welcome to the Epic Corner of the net, edwardp! ![]() ![]() ![]() I use E:A too; I'm a wee Epic-nipper compared to some of the players on here who've been playing since Adeptus Titanicus - I never played the game until E:A was being developed! |

Welcome Ed - no players around my side of the planet, although I've owned rules since Epic Space Marine. So I'm practically as green. I'd say the Epic Armageddon and Swordwind are fine to begin with. |

Welcome aboard, Ed. The best way to learn the rules may be to concentrate on the core rulebook, ignoring for now all the experimental rules and other army lists. Once you get a good handle on the core rules, then you can tackle experimental rules and the other various armies. |

What all of them said. ?TacCom is great because you can address Core Rules issues while knowing that at some point you can expand into a larger game universe. ?This is a great community - glad to have you as a part of it, even if you are just lurking. ? ![]() Westminster, CO, heh? I used to live in Northglenn from 2000-2002. Loved it. The job and the family took me east to New York, New Jersey, and now PA. But my wife and I frequently dream of our sojourns into the Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park. Fantastic winter hiking! |
