From TablewtopGamingNews:

The response to our Matt Wilson interview was so popular that we thought we?d do another. This time Jervis Johnson, head of the Games Workshop Design Studio and designer of some of GW?s best games, has agreed to answer questions submitted from our readers.

If you have a question that you?d like to ask Jervis post it here and we?ll send the best questions along to Jervis for his responses. We?ll be taking question submissions until Friday evening.

Interesting... I'd most likely ask:  "Will there ever be someone in charge over there who:  a) gives a damn about gamers, b) has a creative bone in their body, and c) is willing to diversify the product lines?"

But I know he probably wouldn't be able to ask that, as there will probably be a GW lawyer waiting outside the door with a Taser in case the interview strays into uneasy territory*.

*i.e., anything that would make Tom Kirby et. al. look bad.

GW is no longer the company it was when it was a bunch of guys who loved miniatures.  It is a business.  As such, there can be no doubt that the answer to
a.  is no, they care about shareholders
b.  is no, those in charge will/should have a sense for business
c.  possibly

I think a more productive set of questions would be, what do we as consumers need to do to show "those in charge" that
a.  listening to consumers benefits shareholders
b.  creative staff leads to better sales
c.  that diversifying product lines will lead to the same level of profitability as focusing on core games.

It looks like the only way to change their business practices is through the targeted actions of consumers and we need to know from someone inside, how best to go about that.

Business can be lead by consumers, but it won't be simple or easy.

Post the questions on that thread then!  What is the worst that can happen, they won't answer them?  Oh no!  :p
Squeaky wheel gets the grease.
