A good friend of mine Steve does industrial models, architectural models, movie props, etc... for a living.

Here's a finished example of a garage kit he'll be doing the casting for for an incredibly talented gent in Italy.

It's a 1:35 scale Gundam influenced walker. I thought some here might enjoy seeing the first example of the finished product...

I know it left me floored.

You know? Things like that just shouldn't be allowed in these forums. Some of us have depression issues, and things of that magnitude really are a little too impressive.

That thing sticking out of his butt looks really uncomfortable.

Exactly what I was thinking. I dont want to be behind him when he lets one rip!  :D

Very cool. I will always remember an early WD with a scratch built walker along the lines of a Warhound, I think made from Star Wars bits, for 40K.

Even if I could put something like that together, I have no idea where I would store it!

And THAT is the crux of the problem!
Lovely work. I know I'll never manage anything so well built and painted, but at least I'm happy with what stuff I can do, and just enjoy looking at this stuff without any issues oh I'm SO green  :alien:  :alien:  :alien:

That's one hell of a build. The details are absolutely stunning and the paintjob simply perfect

Holy Flirking Schmidt!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!111 :O

I love it. :D  You're right about the strange rear-end protuberance, it makes the model look Booty-licious which isn't neccessarily appropriate... ???

I have that old issue of W/D, C/S ! IIRC, Tony Cortell made two Warhound-like 40K scale Walkers. Using commercial S/Wars stuff. And they were painted up in Traitor colors ! ?But this guy is really neat, and camo'd ! ?:)
