On occasion i've sculped things out of plastic, things like custom weapons, or my own scenic base or a new thing to customize my army etc...

well i want to know how i can make replicas without having to re sculp all the bits...does anyone know what things are needed??

even a link to a tut would be helpful

for example  i know Otterman casts some models in resin (home made).

Anyone?

You should be careful about this, as recasting minis is illegal, and even recasting for home use is frowned upon in certain areas.

Seek out my posting about a legion of imperator titans. It has tips there. Then visit Hirst Arts and read the section on RTV silicon mold making.

Let's have some pictures of your stuff!

Another way to get your hotwire-original mold made is to send it to me, if you want to chase that rabbit around.

It's referred to as "RTV silicon" - the RTV stands for Room Temperature Vulcanization. In other words, it gets hard without baking.

And yes, all RTV silicon is soft and bendy so you can pop stuff out of it.

Smooth-On is absolutely great. I think they have a starter kit.
