With the strong possibility of the Chaos release actually taking place, I've been thinking about how to fill in the holes in the BL & LATD lists.

I've been considering Exodus Wars Shadow Knight Cell to fill the role of Forlorn Hope. ?It will make them distinct from the standard CSM infantry. ?Plus they have a nice Scout look to them.

Since you won't get alot of Cultist or Mutants/Beastmen, I thought E/W's Guild Prefect Precinct would make good Chaos "Marauders". ?With swords and shields (as well as guns), they'd have an interesting Fantasy Battles style Chaos look. ?Some suggest using regular Imperial Guardsmen to fill in, but I think this doesn't make them look distinctive enough.

DRM's Ketzali would make good cultists while any Kraytonian would make good mutants.

If you want Raptors that don't just look like Assault Marines (but don't want to do alot of conversion work), maybe the Andrayada Vultures would work.

I'm sure most have heard to use old Imperial Robots as Obliterators.

Options for the Decimator and Defiler have been discussed in other threads as well.

Anyone else have any thoughts or suggestions?

On a similar note:
I constantly read about or think of new uses for the DRM & E/W lines within the context of Epic gaming. ?Maybe a thread should be started to compile as many proxy uses as we can come up with.

Yeah, I'm using E/W's Guild Centuria as Chaos/Genestealer Cultists, and the Shadow Knights as bodyguard for the Cult Leaders.  The former will be painted a shade of purple to fit Slaanesh and 'Stealer worhsippers :D though I'll be indifficulty if I ever decide I want the two armies to fight each other...

Exodus came a bit late to the party to make it into my Slaaneshi Chaos army but I've used Andrayadas Infantry as Chosen and Kraytonian Arkiten and Arkators for the fliers.

For my decimators I've used Forgeworld Cyclops demolition vehicles with bits of WHFB Chaos Knights added on.

Deamonettes are from the Warmaster strips and my KoS is a Warhammer Deamonette with extra arms and claws.

I've used a job lot of the old plastic beast riders that I picked up on ebay as bikes, Robots as Obliterators, Space Crusade style dreds, old skool Rhinos, Land Raiders and Daemon Knights all from ebay.

Titans are all original AT style models converted with bits from the Wharhammer/40k Slaanesh ranges.

Standard Space Marines are my line troops with the missile launchers grouped together for Havoks and the Assault Marines as Raptors.  Forlorn Hopes are units of the old plastic Chaos Marines as I didn't have many of those.

Finally, as I had them included in a job lot, I've got some Beastmen that I field with Ork Wildboyz stats.

I think that's about it.
