Post subject:  Completely proxied Tau army
Has anyone put much thought into proxying a Tau army?

After having seen Forge Worlds models, I just don't want to fool with them.  They look great, but too fiddly.

I was thinking of pulling mostly from DRM

Andrayada Scouts would be my Fire Warriors.

Vanguard would be the Pathfinders.

I'm not sure if I should use regular Andy infantry for Stealth suits.  They do have big shoulderpads and similar guns.  I could also use 1 of the 4 Andy Scout poses.

There are a couple of Battletech Powered Armor units I'm considering for Crisis and Broadsides.  I'd really like to find something better in another 10mm line, though.

Kroot would be drawn from the Kraytonians.  Regular infantry, scouts, commanders and body guards all fit well.

Exodus Wars Kamikaze Droids for Drones
and DRM Hubries as Heavy Drones.

Kraytonian Skimmers could pass for Tau skimmers, but I'd really like to find something better.

The Cav Czar will be my Orca.

Any one have any comments, ideas, or suggestions?

I'm with Hena.  Buy some Battlesuits and some tanks/Flyers from FW, and proxy all the infantry.  Firewarriors can be Kraytonian bodyguards or GZG UNSC, or use the GZG guys as Pathfinders.  For Kroot I'd recommend GZG Kravak.

I'm really not sold on the Forgeworld stuff. ?I just don't like how fragile it is coupled with how many pieces there are. ?

The price is fair for the level of detail, but my fear is, I'll never get myself to work on an army that is this much trouble. ?
