Hey ya'll. A few of us round my way might be starting a complex BFG / Epic map campaign in a little while (A month or so). I've written up a campaign system that hopefully should cater to all possibilities. At first glance it may look pretty complex, but we're going to have a big campaign map with magnetic planet / fleet counters etc, and a computer on hand to show the state of each planet's simple economy. Anyways, has anyone got any comments? Epic / BFG Campaign System The map grid will be a 15x15 Hexagon map (Though the majority of Hexes will simply be empty space, literally). I'm expecting the campaign to take quite a few months to complete, but at the end someone will be crowned victor of a random unnamed sector... cool huh? |

Looks like fun I think it will require a very dedicated group of players to get very far into and actually determine a victor. I have an idea of creating a campaign system that is centered on two opposing forces (Imperium vs Chaos or Tau vs Ork or Imperium vs Tau, etc) that takes roughly a continent or half a continent and makes it a warzone. Alot of the game would revolve around assigning units to move, defend, attack zones and within those zones have a number of objectives that is required to control the zone. The zone may be a river valley, so a key to controlling the zone is capturing a bridge to cross the river, the zone has a main road that has 3 fortified settlements along it, securing the settlements becomes key. Only problem is I need to come up with how to generate all the important stuff. |

Oh we're a dedicated enough bunch... we play Epic after all... ![]() We'll probably game once per week (Once I move into my new house and get the place painted), and there'll probably be an appointed 'newsletter' writer or some such. Should be fun if it works anyway. |

It might not be me writing up the newsletter, but it would be rather cool if everything was written from the point of view of a war corispondent ![]() |
