I was just wondering what list would be the best. IG or the Lost and the Damned. I have read a few Dan Abnett books but I cant decide wich list to use. Any input would be great. |

Hmm, good question... ![]() I think that the Guard list might be better, as you can count Stalk Tanks as Sentinels, and use Storm Troopers to represent the Blood Pact's Elite troops. P.S. Welcome to EpiComms! ![]() |

In the old days (SM1 &SM2), IG were used as Cultists ... So I'd say IG ! I use SM1/2 IG + 1 E40K Cultist on a stand ... ![]() ![]() |

I agree I like the Guard list for them too but I also like the idea of having some daemon units. |

You could use Ogryn stats but use lesser daemons to represent the actual models. |

Or use the IG list without the war engines and buy Daemons instead. Infantry companies could receive a Daemonic Pact for +25 points. Give the Captain or Colonel Augmented Summoning (+2D3) instead of Leader and you can adjust the loss of all the TK-weapons. That would be a change of the list but I think it would be a satisfying solution for you. |

Or , you can take the LatD list, and modify it to whatever you need. ![]() ib |

Good suggestions, Elias! Thank you. I?m already thinking of a chaos list that depends less on Daemons for some time. However the question arises whether such changes justify a new list? |

It might be interesting to see a rules 'patch' that could be applied to any Imperial Guard armylist that would allow it to turn traitor, but without all the mutants, daemonic bias, etc. I'm thinking as Elias suggests, a few Upgrades which then allow access to limited ammounts of Chaos Tech / Daemons. A similar concept to the Space Marine's "full codex technology" rules patch anyway. |

I've been thinking about the Blood Pact list, and if you want to be true to Abnett's books (as far as I can remember), you don't neccessarily need ANY L&tD Daemonic type stuff. In the books they use different patterns of Tanks, things like Stalk Tanks (which I suggested could just be proxied with Sentinels, going by the description in Sabbat Martyr (I think that's the book they're in?)); then you've got units like the Loxatl, or Dark Eldar mercenaries - now here's an opportunity to make some new units, or shoe-horn in some units from other lists... Any other suggestions? |

Yeah I dont recall reading about the blood pact using daemons now that I think about it, but I know remmember they worship khorne. I love the idea of the Stalk tank. Also a unit of Dark Eldar sounds appealing. |

As for the Loxatl mercs I was looking at some warmaster lizardmen for a proxie but cant really see the little devils in detail. I think the crawl on all 4 legs. |

How powerful are the "stalk tanks"? Could LatD Defiles work for them? Or even the Slaaneshi walkers? |
