I've just learnt that one of my favourite authors died on July 28th this year. Since 1984 he had published some wonderful heroic fantasy literature.
Great shame, especially as it leaves his Troy trilogy one short I think.
RIP David, thanks for the hours of reading you provided.

Gosh, and I hadn't heard a word, terrible.
I have enjoyed many of his books also but am not as much a fan as an ex collegue who used to buy the hardbacks and leave them untouched whilst waiting impatiently for the paperbacks to come out so as to read them.
