To jazz it up a bit more, scan a pic from a WWII book of a broken city, or a WWI Frnace battlefield and superempose him over the top. Would look very cool. I think you might want to give him an Imperial medal as well. Nice work though BL Cheers CAL |

I think BW would have added to the flavour of the pic. I think you need something a bit further away to highlight him as the focal point of the picture. CAL |

I he is in B/W then he would loose the red color of his had which is a hallmark of commissars. In B/W he would look like some strange SS-officer. |

What with the Death's Head icon on his hat, he still kinda does.  Maybe remove that and replace it with his Regiment's number? |

How is this?  Not to sure what about the ironm-cross around his neck. It's too big to modify it to obvisoulsy (eg you would see that it isn't real if there where another medal) |
