Specialty as in occupation or in hobby? I have a degree in computer science but I really can't call myself an expert as I only need to compare my knowledge to peope like Netepic or Cybershadow to feel inadequate. As for hobby, that would be "useless bits of obscure info" (= knowledge of old 40k fluff and different game systems). I don't know enough about military history to consider myself an expert (unfortunately) no matter how much I'd like to. |

I used to be a paleoartist, painting and sculpting dinos and stuff, and I've dabbled in writing, just the odd magazine article for Prehistoric Times and Miniature Wargames mags, but nothing major. I know lots about dinos but have no actual training or qualifications, but if anyone needs dino info, I've got stacks of scientific papers and stuff, and am in contact with quite a few paleontologists so just shout! I'm now a model horse sculptor, because the market is huge, and the customers are female so know how to spend money ![]() regards, Reaver |

I am an specialist in modern manoeuvre warfare, man management, leadership, and general soldier skill as a Tank Commander and Instructor of armoured warfare. Mostly software developing in C, C++, and everything .NET, with a dose of XML thrown in for good measure; but also moderate skills in Unix Sysadmin and Oracle DBA and recently acquiring specialization in EMC's SAN management and Mainframe Business Continuity (and related REXX-based automation). |

I am certainly no expert in computers, but I know enough to get around. My main expertise is in robotics and cybernetics, practicalities and real world problems, along with human-robot interfaces and interaction. Ohh, and I wargame a bit! ![]() |

6 years USMC infantry BS Chemistry BA English Pursing MA English Professional life is a mix of writing, finance and law with the most recent emphasis on law. But I hate lawyers. Yep. "Hate" is definitely not too strong of a word here. When the revolution comes, the first thing we do is kill all the lawyers. I think that's definitely the way to go. In fact, I would paraphrase Thomas Jefferson: The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots, tyrants, and LAWYERS. |

In general I'm a history junky, with military history being my specialty. I'll read about any era of warfare, but I know more about WW II than anything else. I was a history major in college, with a concentration in Modern Europe. I'm certified to teach history in Connecticut, but there way too many applicants for every opening. So, I have yet to land a teaching job. As for how I earn a living, I work in insurance. |

I have a degree in zoology, but have since moved on and gained graduate and postgraduate qualifications in psychology - specialisation neuroscience. Zoology (or biological sciences as it's called now), was very good preparation for psychology. |
