Hi Guys,

I'm restarting my blog and would like to keep to some of the rules recently set in the forum so this will be primarily a game-oriented blog / message thread for me. That is the common denominator among all of us... the hobby.

Although it is in the Epic General area, I don't know how often it will have Epic content in it. I will continue to write about my life, work and other things on the thread in addition to hobby material. and sometimes I will be simply reflecting on life, fun and other pleasant events in my life.

Please feel free to ignore this thread if you are looking for game-only content.

I will try and keep in an upbeat tone as the SOP (Standard Operating Procedure).

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

P.S.
I'm starting my blog over with the idea that I can attract back some of the folks back who didn't follow my blog before because of the times I shared about less hobby-oriented parts of my life.

P.S.S.
I have too many friends here to let some things like politics or religion get in the way. I really miss alot of the folks who left when I was experiencing some pain and worries about my friends and relatives in Israel.

P.S.3.
I hate to end the other thread as my blog was the longest-running and most-viewed post EVER! That's kind of cool!

I have a feeling that the old blog will remain the longest thread in Tactical Command history for a very long time!  :D

Hi Iain and Gang,

I have a feeling that my old thread will remain the longest as well! LOL :)

Things are going really well for me.

I have a new girlfriend in the works, Svetlana, and all of a sudden, it appears that my work skills are in demand (Mathematical, scientific and writing talents).

I have an interview today (15 August 2006)... another next week and half a dozen (Literally) others interested. These are all for jobs in the $40k plus with benefits range so I'm happy. That's plenty for my meager needs.

As funny as it sounds, I think I'm just going to take the first and best offer that comes along. I'm not going to hold out for the "would haves"...

I'll feel much better when I have more money than I need again.

I'm also thinking that I'm going to buy a ton of E-A that I previously couldn't afford.

There's a lot of things that I've held back from doing for financial limitations that I hope to alleviate including sending L-4 a few SST dropships! I seem to have little special packages of goodies for many of my friends all over the globe... watch out for Moyshe Klaus!

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

Thanks, M/S! LMK when you send!!

I'm having trouble at work with my bosses again/still!

And finally told a certain female rather rudely last night to leave me alone... she left the gym in tears, so I'm told... still bracing for the fall out on that. Especially that I still harbor feelings for her, but I had to do what I had to do... Cest la Vive, Cest la Guerre!
(Please correct my French, M/S!) :D

After being a civilian for over 14 years, I learned that nice guys finish last and the law of the jungle and Darwinian survival of the fitest prevails... FTW! LOL! :D

Off to the gym to work off fat and stress!

Yes. It's very good.

I feel like I'm being blessed!

The interview I had today went really well... I think it was probably a slam dunk!

Either way, I'll know in a week or two...

...there will possibly be a second interview according to the personnel lady.

Yes, yes, yes... when it rains, it pours!

About the only thing I'm missing now is for a certain old friend of mine to lighten his heart towards me, accept an apology from me and to renew our rich friendship again.

But, only time can tell with that... but, patience has always been a quality I've had in quantity.

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

Stay away from the younger women, soldier!

Stick with the odler, more mature ones who have their heads screwed on tighter, mate!

In my case, I probably ought to stick to Russian and Israeli women... I have the easiest time relating to women from those backgrounds.

Communicating with Svetlana is near effortless... she seems to understand me very well... perhaps too well. I'm not sure I will be able to get away with anything anymore! LOL :)

While I do have a limited French proficiency, I'm not qualified to correct your French.

I do think that you have the phrase miswritten, but I'd have to look into a phrase book to see how it's done correctly...

Either way, I know what you mean! Lima Charlie!

Not necessarily so, man.

Give it some time. We all love an underdog!

I know the feeling. I think I tore a hamstring last week so I've been going easy on my leg while it's healing.

The good news is I've been keeping very regularly to running 2 to 5 miles a day, four to six days a week. I may even reclaim a flat belly at this rate! Urah!

*** How much do you run, Ralph? ***

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

Thanks, M/S!

Yes, the young female and I have been playing games for sometime... she came in last night and we ignored each other and told my friends I was crazy and nutz! So that works for me! :D Mission accomplished... BTW her Mom is from France and she speaks the tongue also! ?

Good luck with the older gals, M/S... I don't meet many and not interested in the few I do. I'm going to stay in the bunker and keep away from most non-males ... most/all seem to be not worth the effort! :D

I'd prefer European or Med females, but just can't find any in this backwater! US females tend to be confused, spoiled and pampered with an attitude!

But I'll stick with the Darwin thing for now... until I deem it's safe... I'll keep what you said in mind!

Hope your leg is feeling better, I don't run much any more.

My favorite cardio is steppers and climbers... 30 mins +, 6 times a week. Followed by ciruit weight training... and a little stationary bike after the gym closes 7 days...

Was doing more cardio and lifting but just couldn't recover at my age! Well off to drop off some resumes'... my boss is a total wanker and I'd never have to see her again, not to mention make more $$$!

Thanks, M/S! :D

Hi L-4,

Well, I'm rooting for you no matter what happens... ;)

Thanks, M/S!

I appreciate it! Yes, I know a good commander knows when to attack, defend or withdraw (Lee at Gettyburg - he should have listened to Longstreet! Rommel, on the other hand always was willing to take a risk! :;): ). But at the time, the intell looked good after numerous recons and was worth the risk!

SAS- "Who Dares wins!" Big risk - Big Win...

"Victory would have been glorious" - Koloth, Klingon CDR! LOL! :D

However, I just don't fall for any skirt, they have to be worth the risk, age, race, ethnicity, etc. does not matter... It's the person... one has to be attracted physically at some level first, then once you get to know someone you can judge whether you want to go any further. And in a "relationship," you take the good with the bad! But you know all this, so I wish you the best in all your quests! :D ?

I'm off to the gym shortly!
