I am currently investigating a potential Imperator proxy...a non walker armored vehicle, ala the Capital Imperialis, but potientially much bigger. Would have similar stats to the Impie, but just be a bigger Cap Imperialis. With more guns. Lots more guns. ![]() ![]() Comments? Witticisms? Angry shaking of fists? ib |

I saw one "Rolling Fort" made from an old GI Joe toy. The toy was bought from a junk store and the person then built upon it. Another one I liked was Vanvlak's Moving Building. He used a model tank and added some of the Epic Buildings to it to make it a large HQ type thing. Maybe he will post a photo of it for you to see. dafrca |

Hmmm...how does the 40k Rhino compare in size to the CI? I don't have a rhino to compare to.. would probably be expensive to buy a rhino just to convert for that anyway. Was that a tank model kit you used for the Fortress? And what scale was it? Oh, and thanks for the pics! I had forgotten about that project of yours! ib |

Oh, and thanks for the pics! I had forgotten about that project of yours! ib A 40k Rhino is massive compared to a CI because the CI is much too small. In order for it to carry 2 full IG infantry companies the 40k Rhino is actually much closer to right size. As for the model kit it is probably old Tamiya 1/35 Klim Voroshilov. |

Hmm... you know of a newer kit that would serve well as the running gear that is available? Or would any of the commonly available tank kits do the job? Ie, Sherman, Abrams, et all? ib |

Ie, Sherman, Abrams, et all? ib I think Abrams would be fine. The Sherman's suspension just does not look right to me although the HVSS one (i.e. the one M4A3E8 has) could have some merit. Tiger, Tiger II, Panther, T-34, IS-II, Leopard 1 and even a Crusader would do nicely. And if you want one a bit closer to the original (but still larger) a 1/48 scake kit is easily big enough. Trumpeter makes some very affordable (at least when compared to Tamiya) KV kits in 1/35 scale. And the old Tamiya kit is still around as they haven't made a new version. |
