With the increasing xenophobic nature of the Imperium, I find it harder and harder to include abhumans in an IG army.

In my mind it simply doesn't fit.

I have already replaced my Ratlings with DRM human scouts(they have a sniper-ish look and weapon).

The poor little Ratlings may go live with my Squats.  :(

Or, they may end up as Pygmies in my Space Lizardman army!!!!!!!!  :)  :)  :)

I am having trouble replacing the Ogryns.  I need something suitably large that would fit the role (same stats of course).

I was thinking maybe a bulky 10mm human fig.  He could represent some sort of steroid enhanced soldier.

Possiblly a 10mm powered armor fig.

Anyway, I'm looking for suggestions, alternatives, or figs that fit my existing concepts.  Pics a plus.

Also comments on my deranged point of view are welcome.

Thanks.

I put one of the Epic Metal Robots on a base by it self and used the OGRE stats for it. I explained that the weapons etc explained the firepower and the fact they were large explained the Close Combat spec.

I've been looking for such figures too (In my fluff one of my officers is particularly xenophobic) At the minute I'm using Catachan Figs, at least they are over muscled and somewhat 'vicious' looking. Not too keen on the 10mm figs myself (at least those I've found so far) and the robots just don't seem to fit a rapid response meched force.

Maybe some of the battletech infantry would work. Definitely bigger than 6mm and they are very clearly human. You get a lot more in a pack than you ever got Ogryns as well. Ogryn company, anybody?

Here is a picture of the house Davion troops next to a plastic 2nd Ed. Ogryn. Sorry about the blurring: three cups of coffee + no tripod + no flash = shakiness...  :D

So they are slimmer and not as ugly, but that's about what you would expect, right?  :;):

The Mechwarrior infantry might also work, being around 10mm.  And Pendraken's 10mm space marines might be an option as well.
