I presume you're not asking about the Reavers. Unfortunately the picture quality isn't good enough for me to recognize it.

No, I left the Reavers in to show scale. ?I pulled this out of an old White Dwarf, so, it would seem odd if they were not a GW production, but possible, I guess.

The 2 appear to be based on the same chasis, but one mounts a large canon, the other 2 missiles

A long time ago, before GW got a big head and screwed up, they encouraged Kit bashing. Those are a couple of great examples of the old school custom kit bashes.

I believe those specific items are what later became the Ordinatus minis. In those early days we had to custom make things like the Ordinatus.

Those are scratchbuilt vehicles using the chassis and tracks of a Capitol Imperialis and bitz from things like Zoids and other toys.

Thanks for the info.

I was beginning to wander if there was a big chunk of Epic history I had missed.

I guess as a new player, I never think about GW as having EVER been willing to look outside their own ranges.

True, for some of us, the ability to see beyond the "Official" minis never went away.  :;):

Hi Guys,

Those are "custom" armored vehicles from the good old days when kitbashing was part of the "GW Hobby."

I love the AT-1 box cover!

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

The funny part is, kitbashing and customizing still is an important part of the "GW Hobby". They just got stuck in a "Must Use GW Bitz" rut.

One of the things I still respect about GW is their ability to create such fun and wonderful custom items using bitz and foam. Even this last year the White Dwarf has had some wonderful articles abotu how to create custom .

But they have lost the ability to see past their own products. They have allowed their need to control to go too far.

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones.  As I didn't start out w/ GW minis, I never fell into the "ONLY OFFICIAL MINIS" trap.

I'm JUST starting to get my friend and only opponent to think in terms outside the official army lists.

He's really keen on the idea of replacing IG Sentinals with a light scout tank, so I think he's hooked

I keep telling him, "you only play against me and you know I'm not going to complain".
