Hi guys. Been a few months since my last visit here... the site changed address!! The organization looks good... now how do I select a sane colour scheme? Still working for EMC... after the 2-months trip to Franklin, Boston (beautiful city, BTW), I got another 2 weeks trip to Frankfurt for additional training (business continuity on Mainframes, of all things.... for those of you who understand computers: there IS such a thing as time travel I hope you're all well, and the Epic (and Gothic) community is thriving. I guess GW did something awful in the meantime? I'd be surprised if it didn't |

It's always nice when somebody returns to the fold after a long absence. |

Glad that you managed to follow us over here. I am afraid that sane colour schemes are temporarily outlawed here... ? |

(CyberShadow @ Jul. 23 2006,11:25) QUOTE Glad that you managed to follow us over here. I am afraid that sane colour schemes are temporarily outlawed here... About the site... I don't know if anyone already pointed at this, but there are some problems with Firefox. I'm using Firefox 1.5.0.4 and there are weird things happening; for example, in the thread about long-range paradrops: http://www.tacticalwargames.net/cgi-bin....&t=6527 whenever there's an "attached image" I can only see the text with Firefox, while IE below the text also gives me the usual "X" image of when there's supposed to be a picture but the browser cannot access it. Also some messages appear without any text in Firefox; post number 9 of said thread for example comes with no text and only the signature in Firefox, while it appears all right using IE. (primarch @ Jul. 23 2006,01:14) QUOTE Hi! Long time no see, welcome back! Hey, Peter! I was thinking about a trip to Dominica... if my memory serves you live near there, any suggestions? I'm also open to "forget about it, better go to XXX instead" You should know, though, that for me sitting all day on a beach can only be sustained a couple of days before terminal boredom sets in.... |

Hi! I live in Puerto Rico, the island next to it. While they look close on the map its not really close. I went to the dominican republic once. I have never gone back. I find the poverty there depressing. Watch out for thieves and corrupt cops. Be VERY careful there. Primarch |

Primarch Thanks for the warning, but I wasn't talking about the Dominican Republic but Dominica proper, i.e. the island between Guadeloupe and Martinica I was interested in it mainly because everyone throws around the usual line about "the nature island of the Caribbean", and honestly I'd much prefer to spend a week walking around in lush vegetation than sitting all day on a beach (blech What about the Virgin Islands? Or Turks & Caicos? Help me avoid throwing thousands of $$$ on an ugly vacation |

Hi! Ah, my bad. The little islands are pretty good, so I hear. The Virgin Islands are nice too, although probably the Bahamas are the best. Stay away from Haiti and the Dominican Rebublic, every thing else should be good. Primarch |
