Ok, second try:

You are buying a brand new army, you don't have any proxies or any of it at your house, it's the Space-Lizardmen-Dwarf-Rats.  There's a box of infantry, in it are a GOOD mix of commanders, regular grunts, assault infantry.  A healthy bit of regular plain old fodder, but quite a few commanders and special troops (no buying 5 boxes so you can get a single unit of Ogryns).

How much is one single trooper worth or a box of 100?

Also, is there a natural price point in the UK?  For us in the US it's $20.00.  Everything is either more than $20.00 or less than $20.00.

Good information on my last try, I hope this is more clear.

Thanks,

TrademasterAdam

I am in the US and I do not agree that $20 is a natural point for 100 infantry.

I do agree this poll is better. It is clear on what you want us to "judge" so to speak.

Have a great weekend.

I marked $20, but that's pretty much the max for high quality figs.

I think that GW's larger boxes of infantry are pretty good value at $20 for 150-160 individual troopers (about 12 cents per), but the blisters I think are overpriced at $17 for 8 stands (42.5 cents per). By comparison DRM's blister of 8 stands is $8 (20 cents per).

Sorry, I meant everything (not just figures) is $19.99 or 3 easy payments of $19.99.  There is a world of difference between something less than $20 and something over $20, I was just curious as to whether or not that was the case in GBP.

Thanks,

I would totally be buying those!  Bring it on!

j/k.  So, are you doing market research for a new company or something?

I understand, then I agree. The natural breaks are around the paper money breaks. 5, 10, 20, 50, 100.

The level of thought people put into a purchase goes up as you break past each level. Under 5 and people see it as not worth worry for the most part. Break 50 and they really think about it.

I think that is one reason the Gas prices have gotten so much more attention this time. The cost caused the "fill up" to break the 50 mark.

Hi!

While everyone would like to pay less, I think 20 dollars is about right for this quantity of figs.

I must respecfully disagree.

Let's look at some facts:

HEROICS & ROS pack of 50 for $6.50, so 100 for $13.00

GZG Pack of 24 for 2.50 pounds, so 100 for 10 pounds

GHQ Pack of 60 for $8.95, so 100 for about $15.00

Dark Realm Miniatures Pack of 40 for $8.00, so 100 for $20

$20 is too much for 100 figures in my mind.

I generally work on $1AUS per stand as an Ebay ceiling these days, so I guess $15US for 100 figures is about right for me.  I have come to realise that you need to factor in bases....so DRM doesn't look quite so cheap, and GW plastic looks like a relative bargain.  Who'd a though it!  :p

It's in dollars so I don't have a clue. :D

EDIT:

Here in the UK GW infantry plastic boxed sets are 12 pounds.
