Salute or Open War 5

It's such a pain.

Well I'd rather be playing Epic than spending money, so Open War it is. :)

What did it clash with last year? Something epic related. I had to go to salute due to prior promises to demo game :)

Hi Chris.

Had n't realised that you were back in Bangladesh. Are you out there for long?

Good luck

I have no idea :( Life seems to involve going to other countries currently. Came back out short while ago (you can chart my location from how many bat reps I post!).

Sorry to hear you're stuck in Bangladesh Chris.

Enjoy Open War Tim & best of luck on the day :;):

I'll definitely be at Salute, although for me it is mostly work these days.

I'll be spending time at the Wargames Warehouse stands, who'll have DRM on sale & all my DRM "Studio" pieces in their cabinets.

I hope to pick up some stuff from Hasslefree, TAG, and quite possibly Perry Miniatures, but am mostly looking forward to meeting up with folks from here & old wargaming mates who I only get to see a few times a year now.

An EpiComms meet-up shall be happening, I forget what time we've said (dont have my diary to hand..) but if you're interested, I think its 1pm at the Wargames Warehouse stand. Doug (Darkone) & Myself will be the two grinning chaps near the cabinet - me because its my painting, Doug because its his range!  :D :D :D

For me, it was one of the best so far. The free mini was better last year, but the free dice was better this year!  :p

I spent more than I should, but had a really interesting day. The focus seems to be shifting slowly towards sales and trade stands, which is OK but doesnt hold the attention as long as something like a good display or participation day - and both of these features were less than in previous years, or at least less interesting. The venue was much improved over previous years. The show seems to be attracting the more established traders now, and there seem to be more of them than in the past (Mongoose, Privateer, Urban Mamoth, etc).
