Is it me or are the SG Forum boards dead? There does not appear to be much in they way of activity on them. Is the European summer getting gamers off their computers and out of their houses? Heaven forbid :p . Is there anything going on in a produtive manner? ie a rules review with an outcome! ???

Just asking

yes the SG board is pretty dead, GW did alot to try to get this result and most posters have staedily fallen off since the shake up. I have heard the the Chaos minis that were supposed to be released in August are now just a maybe sometime around next Febuary instead but I'm not really expecting them at all at this point.
The SG boards dont offer much incentive to post over their, the fanatics dont reply, their is rarely any news and its often wrong when it is put up, etc., etc.
only interesting thing I've seen over there recently is a posting of the dark eldar epic fan armylist and the proposed build a titan contest, that could at least be some fun to try to make a submision and suposidly the winner will be sent a 3000 pt epic army. other than those two things I havent seen anything of interest over there.

Let's face, this is the place to be for Epic, not SG.

Here, here DS. I had a spat at the rumours the other day. With particular reguard to rumours about releases and the negative waves. If people are going to post about the future of the game it needs to be fact not fiction. Not everyone is as dedicated to there wargaming as the majority of us. A new user gets onto the forum, reads the countless bad new posted by people not in the know and decides not to take up the hobby. We have a duty to increase the fan numbers to keep the minitures coming, otherwise we will once again get written off to find things on Ebay. Enough of my ranting.

Cheers

When you are irrelavent, it is hard to remain alive. SG has been dead for some time, we just keep seeing body twitches and hope it is life.

To be honest, SG forum could disappear and it really wouldn't bother me, just as long as we have this forum.

I started over there not too long ago.  Just couldn't get much help or encouragement.

I was like a whole different world when I moved here.

SG is a grave with a still kicking corpse. I had so much hope when this effort/wave started, but no more.

CS has created a place where Epic can be kept alive without being cold. It is a place where we all can banter and enjoy.

SG is not dead yet....however it seems a shadow of its former self. Like a man after his wife has died, driving him to drink. IMHO it all stems from jervis going on to other projects and not giving as much of his time to it.
Consectari im not sure if you were around then but the SG fourms were once great. I would post and jervis himself would respond to my ideas. it was a great feeling and the devolpment was still devolping in the open while now it seems to have stoped or become internal to SG(highly unlikly IMO)

I think some people believe Jervis has more power then he does. Jervis was very active until Senior Management at GW elected to castrate SG. If there was a person who wanted SG to work more the Jervis, I do not know who that would be.

Blame the Investors, the share holders, the Management of GW for what has happened. Do not blame Jervis.

Here, here, dafrca, you are so right. Let's not blame Jervis for the mess at SG. I'm sure things haven't turned out to his liking.

It has been swallowed by GW, blaming people doesn't achieve anything. Accepting it a fact is hard to swallow, I think we are better served increasing interest and getting people to buy product. The only way for it to survive effectively, is for it to become economically viable, remember when it was a corps game. I would say boycot Ebay and support SG; however, they do not produce enough minis to support our current needs.

Option B, a little diddy. We buy up GW shares and dont spend money on minis for a few months and become the controlling share holders. Power to the people, down with the establishment. LOL Now that would be funny, turn up to the shareholders meeting and demand the release and development of more Epic minis. Just as a off side, how much do GW shares go for, I may have a few spare pennies floating arround.

But seriously, spend your dollars at SG and it will continue to twitch, walk away, and it will truely die.

Cheers
CAL

PS. How much are the shares?
