Yes, six sets of three (with six Warmaster bases) - five set of Exarchs is you are unlucky!  :(

If you don't get Exarch Models I'd say it is quite easy. Snip off the wings and cutt off the lance thingy and you should have a passable model. I haven't got the models with me right now but IIRc they've removed a bit from the rear section which you'll need to sculpt on if you want something exactly similar to the regular bike. Don't quote me on that though. :;):

I actually have these in front of me right now. I would say that they are fairly easy to convert to standard jet bikes - especially the normal Spears minis (ie not the Exarch). They have twin Shuriken modelled under them. I think that the only issue will be removing the lance, as it runs from the riders hand down the front of the carapace, almost to the end.
