Inspired my the 2005 thread I thought we might as well get the ball rolling.
Even though it is still a bit early: What are your New Year's Resolutions for 2006?

Mine:

-Start painting that damn Eldar army which just keep growing without much ever getting painted...

- paint more chaos... lots'n'lots of more Chaos.

- Paint the rest of my Gargants

- paint some Goff ork stuff

- Paint some more Imperial Titans

- Do some forrest scenery for my terrain collection.

- Start a specially all converted Dark Angles army.

- Paint a small Death Guard and Salamanders pre heresy army for SM1

- Figure out what the heck I want to do with my life...

Sigh. I'm a sucker for these. Here goes:

1 - get the PhD ready by 2007 (I know it's 2006 coming up next, but that means lots of work next year!)
2 - complete a Dark Eldar army.
3 - complete an Aeronef fleet.
4 - complete all my Ironstars models (around 10!)
5 - Try to paint any Dark Realm minis I get as soon as they get here
6 - complete the CI
7 - work on a clear-what's-on-the-workbench policy

There. No more. Just those. And the Ironstars stuff, ships for 1 fleet, some DE stuff and the CI are all on my workbench, which means they fall under no.7. Crafty! :p

Hi!

1. Buy Dark Realms stuff (since I know what more is too be sold than is publically known, its easy to make a list.... :;): )
2. Hopefully the IG army will be fully painted, but that doesnt depend on me though....
3. Reach my 10,000th post on Epicomms this year, this DOES depend on me.... :D

OK, here goes:

Personal:
* Continue Fitness and Karate Training.  Attain my orange belt
* Be a good Dad and Husband
* Drive my 1967 Austin Healey LOTS

Professional:
* Keep all my sailors in 1 piece
* Get promoted

Gaming
* Finish my Aeronef Fleets in progress
* Assist playesting a few other VSF games (Land Ironclads & Aquanef)
* Get stuck into my Chaos army
* Complete my FT (3rd Epic Painting Comp attempt is a charm!)
* Play other divergence games with the kids

Gaming/modelling wise:
* Paint all LotR characters in my possession.
* Paint at least all Rohan troops for LotR
* Finish those last asteroids for BFG I have lying around
* Finish the last Dragonship for BFG (maybe this will succeed in 2005...?!)
* Make the Khareshi Expanse work

Personal
(all the obvious)
* be a good husband & dad
* finish the garden

Whatever I resolve to do, won't get done. So... I resolve to do NOTHING! That way SOMETHING will get done. MWAHAHAHAHAA!  :alien:

Gaming:
Expand my FoW Soviets to 5000points.
Jump on board the next ToEG, Return to the Desert Ferrin & Expand them by 5000points.
Game epic more with the above!
Paint copius amounts of Dark Realm stuff, especially buggies....

Personal / non-hobby:
Return to a more regimented working life & try to keep my head above the financial water for once!
Start my SPLA climbing qualification or similar.
Continue the charity work I've started this year for Cancer Research (Sponsored climb on 28th Dec if anyone's got a spare few cents :p :cool:)

And the ones I make every year:

Have fun, Stay Healthy & live to see 2007 :D :D

- Collect and paint the whole Salamanders Space Marine Chapter for Epic: Armageddon
- paint my E:A Orks.
- complete  the painting of my E:A Biel-Tan Eldar
- complete the painting of  my BFG Chaos fleet.
- complete collecting and painting the whole Salamanders fleet for BFG.
- build an Epic gaming board with ash wastes terrain.

Tas:  never underestimate the power of liberty ports to reduce the best sailor you have to a blithering (drunken) idiot.  Good luck, XO, you're going to need it.

My resolutions:
Get a new job (Uncle Sam lets me go the end of January!)
Funds willing,
Get Infinity.  All of it.
Build the entire Dark Angels Chapter in Epic.
Build a Tau force in Epic.
Build the Dark Angels 5th Battle Company, with every available option, in 40k.
Build the ESWAT Tau army in 40k.

Hmm I think I'll have a go at this too:

1. Finish my 4000 pts Warmaster Undead and Chaos
2. Finish my 3000 pts Orks for 40k
3. Make a Modular terrain board that works for both 15mm and 6mm
4. Buy some WW1 French troops for my 15mm Germans.
5. Play some Full Thrust.
6. Play some I Ain't Been Shot, Mum
7. Go to Aalborg and have a game of Epic with Warmaster Nice
8. Paint up my Chaos Titans.
9. Get my 50+ Knights done.
10. Make no more purchases before this list is done!
11. Get everything else done!

Oh - I forgot one gaming Resolution:

Make it to more conventions this (coming) year! I only made it to one in the past 12 months - Salute in April.

I had planned to go to Bovington, Colours & warfare, but things didnt pan out for any of them!

I also plan to get fitter and better at my climbing, similarily i plan to get fit enough to run a local competiton orienteering comp with a full rucksack.

On the gaming side of things I will not buy any more models till everything I have is painted (so, WHFB Wood Elf army, Epic Ork Army, Epic Space Wolf Army, 40k Space wolf army... how hard can it be???.)
