I have heard the French have increased the Alert level to Hide after a terrorist attack, the only two higher levels being Surrender and Collaborate. This action was prompted by the bombing of two of Frances most productive White Flag factories and is believed to have almost halved Frances ability to fight a war. |

Dont forget the fact that they are also horribly fatigued after their gargantuan effort a few years a go to drop a Concorde onto a hotel - and thus tripling the figure of Germans they managed to kill in the past 100 years ![]() |

Ah but Magnus... Napoleon was Corsican not "France French". Even today theres a disproportionate number of Corsicans serving in French special forces units. Combine that with the size and ferocity of the Corsican underworld groups and I'd have to say that by and large Corsicans are not people you want to have be irritated with you. Don't even get me started on the number of Germans in the post WWII French Foreign Legion... ![]() |

Yep ... a lot of Corsicans are in French SF units ... The FFL's 2d REP is stationed in Corsica ! And the FFL was full of Germans after WWII (there were a bunch before, too !) The Germans in the FFL in French Indo China '45-'54, were very good ... they had a lot of experience at war ! ?Read George Elford's "The Devils Guard" and "Return to Inferno" ... it's said to be historical fiction, but ... ? ![]() |

Rue Britannia, and God Save The Queen (And Monty Python re-runs too) You do know that France restructured their road networks during reconstruction after WWII. Yea, they straightened them all out to make it easier on invading armies moving from east or west ![]() Jaldon ![]() |
