Hi all,
what are your plans for the season - if you are planning anything at all?

My list sounds like a second resolution for 2005 ?:(

1 - define parameters for a specific laser deposition process in PhD ?:( ('fraid I had to put it first)
2 - WHFB tree campaign, Bretonnians vs Chaos (that's me) - that's more like it ?:D
3 - prepare stuff for the Epic comp! (and convince CS to make a new category - Vindicator AA.... ?:p )
4 - complete a 40K Inquisition army (we've heard this one before)
5 - complete a WHFB army (not even defined...)
6 - complete phase 2 of project N (no, not games-related; ask Warmaster Nice about this)
7 - invade Sheffield in September ?
8 - start Victorian 28mm stuff
9 - acquire Monster Island rules
10 - if they get here - start painting Aeronefs and forget 1-9 ?:p

Well with the exams well finished I now have a whole bunch of catching up to do with the rest of my life...

1) Finish the last things in my new apartment
2) Snap a million photos for the Epic Lounge 2.0 and finish that.
3) Work on the NetEpic Gold layout
4) Paint a few minis when the weather and/or time allows it.
5) Work on a web page project for a major customer.
6) Party with my firends
7) Try to squeeze in a small drinking/camping trip with friends
8) Attend a wedding in Scotland with some of the GF's family
9) Party some more with the friends... :p

Hi Guys,

My plans are to:

- Get a new job...
- Clean house...
- Move to whereever my new job is...
- Finish my Hoth project...
- Finish my Kaiju (Godzilla) project...
- Have a good time!

And...

- Help John get a copy of the "Monster Island" rules...

I haven't heard from those folks yet, John, but I'll just buy a copy locally and send it to you then...

I'm taking a trip in July to NY and will drive as far as DC to go sight seeing.

Hobbywise, some D&D and that seems to be it. :)

Stop at G/W US HQ in Maryland while you're in DC, "P" ... it's within Hvy FA range (+ or -) ! :laugh:   Oh yes, talked to the Trolls, Firestorms still not avail. ?!?! ... no intell on F/Ork release (?!) ... so much for a schedule ... ???

I'll take a stab at my summer plans:

1) Finish reading Guns, Germs and Steele. I'm about halfway through it, so I should be done soon
2) Finish spreading 5 yards of topsoil and reseed front lawn
3) Drink beer with neighbors
4) Daytrip to Battleship Cove
5) Do some painting on the outside of my house (If my wife makes up her mind, I'll be doing some painting inside as well)
6) See Fantastic 4
7) Drink more beer neighbors
8) Epic-wise
 - play at least 1 game, 2 would be nice
 - finishing painting minis that I've started (6 bombards, 1    Leviathan, my CI and a bunch of Ultramarine stands)
 - Start painting a new army, probably either Ork or Chaos
9) Play D&D

I know, an ambitious list, but it is doable .   :cool:

My Plans for the Summer?

-Swim in pool at least 12 times
-Base Coat the Heavy Gear I cleaned off
-Get new box for my Epic Infantry
-Get Maddy a new bike
-Read three books

What I WANT to do:
1) Finish the missing 500 points of my 10k Squat army
2) Paint a couple of companies of Death Knights
3) Paint a Khador battlegroup for Warmachine
4) Visit Parola armor museum with the kids
5) Visit artillery museum with a couple of friends
6) Visit prison museum with said fiends
7) Play Combat Mission II with a friend (and most likely lose every game...).
8) Read Net Epic 5.0 thoroughly to spot any possible errors
9) Write comprehensive fluff for Death Knights
10) Flock the bases of my IG army and paint a few platoons of troops to make up for those lost into the warp during transit to current war front.
11) Read "Talvisodan Historia" (The history of the Winter War).
12) Finish a 1/35 Jagdtiger which has been "on hold" since Feb 1992...  :blush:
13) Go on a world tour and have at least one game of Epic with Vanvlak, Primarch, dafrca, netepic, Tas, Legion 4 and Maksim.
14) On the same trip visit the following armor museums: Kubinka, Saumur, Munster, Bovington and Aberdeen.

Ok, back to THE reality. Here's what I in all likelihood WILL do:
1) Be tired
2) Daydream about 13) and 14) in the previous list.
3) See 4) in the previous list. If this is the case, I'll try to take some more pics for you.
4) Spend the day looking after the young 'uns
5) After doing 4) collapse to an armchair and read some trash literature like GW novels or WD OR watch apathetically some WWII documentaries my friend recorded for me from Discovery Channel and laugh at the errors.  }:)
6) after three weeks of the above wonder where the vacation disappeared.  :blues:

Sounds like it will be a fun day! Sounds like the perfect opportunity to sow the seeds of of future wargaming partners. I got my nephew hooked on SM2 when he was about 10 and now he's my usual epic opponent!   :laugh:
